Fans Give Their Verdict On Andy Carroll – Poll Results

8:55 am, Friday, November 13th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 7 Comments

If Newcastle were to try to sign Andy Carroll it would cost is around £20M to bring the Gateshead striker back home – so that´s the question we put to our readers.

An overwhelming majority of almost 90% think that would not be a good deal for Newcastle so maybe the national press will now stop reporting that Newcastle want to sign Carroll when every transfer window rolls around.

Well – maybe not.

Is matip any good. Can someone in the know comment?

Carroll would cost £20 million, yeah right. He has close to 4 years left on contract, costing West Ham approximately £16 million.

The suitors must be lining up to give West Ham a £36 million windfall for a player so integral to their physioroom.

I’ve seen a lot of Matip albeit on TV. He’s tall, athletic and confident on the ball. Passes well. Tends to be a ball-watcher and doesn’t really impose himself physically although he’s not a shirker. Better suited to a DM role rather than CB in the Premier League in my view. Good player but not particularly a good fit for us.
