Some local reports are now starting to come out on which players could be our real transfer targets in January and according to a report in the Chronicle today we are tracking Bordeaux playmaker Wahbi Khazri.
After the 24 year-old French-born Tunisian spent five years at Bastia, Khazri signed a four-year contract with Bordeaux in July of last year.

Newcastle are said to be watching the Bordeaux player who could become a transfer target for Newcastle in January – when the Tyneside club are expected to bring in a number of players to improve a squad which at the moment may not be good enough for the Premier League.
Khazri played one game for the French U21 side and one game for the Tunisian U20 side before choosing to play for Tunisia at International level and he made his debut for them two years ago when he was selected in the squad for the African Cup of Nations.
Wahbi so far has 13 caps and six International goals.
This season he has scored four goals in 12 Ligue One games and he has also scored one goal in seven appearances in the Europa League.
Since he joined Bordeaux seventeen months ago he has made 53 appearances for the club with 14 goals and 12 assists.
And in his five seasons at Bastia he played 148 games with 31 goals and 25 assists.
It looks like Chief Scout Graham Carr and company are watching a number of players at the moment and the Newcastle Board will presumably decide on the real targets as we get closer to the end of the year.
Maybe Wahbi Khazri will be one of our targets?
