Newcastle A Complete Shambles – Sunday Training Ordered

7:10 pm, Saturday, November 28th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 25 Comments

Newcastle fans witnessed yet another appalling display by a Newcastle side when we were ripped apart by Crystal Place and this Newcastle side made Palace look like Real Madrid.

They weren’t as good as Real Madrid –  it’s just that Newcastle were really  bad – and quite honestly would make any opposition look good the way we are playing.

It was another terrible, insipid and woeful performance and now puts enormous pressure on Newcastle who have slipped to second bottom of the league.

Steve McClaren – his team simply fell apart again

Steve has said that we played well in the first 10 to 15 minutes and we suppose that was the reaction the players gave after last week.

After that first 10 minutes when we went ahead with a Papiss Cisse goal – we were completely outplayed – and quite honestly some of the points Steve makes in the video are getting a wee bit tiresome.

When is he going to get them playing anywhere decent?

Here’s Steve’s interview with Sky Sports after the game – he says the same things as last week.

By the way we have played 14 games (not the 13 that Steve says) and have only 24 games left.

We are not particularly looking forward to hosting Liverpool next Sunday and if these displays and heavy defeats keep happening the question we have is what will Lee Charnley do?

We’ll rephrase that – what will Mike Ashley do?

McClaren is at least going to complete his current 3 year contract (it will probably be extended)
We will not get relegated , no chance , and under SM eventually we will get a team to be proud of , I am sure of it .

This was my thoughts from this morning, looks even more valid now.

Newcastle boss Steve McClaren says he will stand by his 33-year-old captain Fabricio Coloccini, despite a training ground clash this week. (Newcastle Chronicle)
    Well that’s marvellous loyalty.

Meanwhile the major shareholder is staying in his cozy office on dry land in the mistaken belief that his super ship is unsinkable.
“Gin and tonic Mr. Ashley ?”
“Would you like ice with that ?”

    Ashley Out! Naturally.

Angels – normally jeff/jib specialises in short term gaffes but he has a whole treasure trove of long – term beauties in the slow cooker.

    Sunday training – wow
How about zero hours contracts – seems more appropriate

I predicted we would employ a head coach rather than a manager to replace Pardew months before Charnley announced that’s what they were looking for.
The reasoning seemed as plain as day to me.
They need someone to coach the team and take the flack for the gap between what fans expect and what the minimum plan is.
He isn’t involved in the rest. And he won’t be….ever again.
The sooner we get this into our thick heads, the less confused and disappointed we will be.

exactly sage but then you get the people supporting the foreign way and that the managers should be able to work with wat they have got and thats fair enough if they got a full squad to work with
we never do we had a period of buying LB’s and CM’s when we needed CB’s and wingers it shows how fusked up the policy is but we hear there is nothing wrong

now if every part of the squad was addressed properly year on year and then a head coach had to work with them then fair enough but it is so far from that it’s laughable but that is supposedly our policy!!!
    unbelievable really

“Out of the bottom three, never to return” jumped out as a hostage to fortune the minute he wrote it after the Bournemouth game.

continuing from a previous page chat.

I did once look up why lose is so frequently spelt as loose when lose would require less letters and they say it’s as part of a lazy habit where we spell words exactly as we say them when typing them and don’t don’t do much spell check and this can cause lots of common mistake with words having very similar sounds spelt in various ways.

Need more determined, british, pacey and strong players bought in january.

  • 11 toonking // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:24 PM

very well done leister and my happy thoughts go to james vardy for his 11 consecutive goals in 11 games

Basically a .load of useless and inept knackers hired by Mr Tubbs – working to his plans – has led us to this position. Cannot honestly see it turning around.
Whilst we cannot dislodge Mr Tubbs – the rest of ’em shoul;d be fair game.
    Prepare the barricades and pitchforks.

jamestoon watch it you’ll be called xeniphobic no matter how much you slag of british player’s, managers
    rotonda says so!!! lol

The squad is neither capable of playing for SM and certainly not playing for him. To survive, those who won’t play must be sold, if possible, and more than MA would like have to be brought in. If NUFC limps through the year and survives, financially, they will be right back where they were years ago. Penny pinching will return.
Oh, what was that about horses in traces, MA?

  • 16 Mister Tuff // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:34 PM

If it continues with Penfold as MD – we are shagged – he’ll just employ second raters and the circle goes around again.
    Should of had Klopp.
Tubbs needs to sack ’em all.

  • 17 Transfer Sage // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:35 PM

I don’t care where the players are from, we need players with experience of the league and what they need to do, nationality is irrelevant, experience is key.

You can of course bring in exciting players from abroad, but unless they are adding to a strong group then you will not see the best of them.

  • 18 croftus5678 // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:35 PM

not seen the game as just got back from work but watched the interview !

seems like the players dont pay attention to macca and he knows it and is getting annoyed as he can not do anything about it.

i can only guess thats its prob the same old story where we gifted them goals through defensive errors then gave up the same as we normally do but i oppologise if i’m wrong.

good to hear he’s thinking about 5-3-2 as imo its the only thing we can do to get a result with our cb’s and lb/rb doing very poor at defensive duties but the idea that hairdryer being injured as the reason he didnt play it is absolute rubbish imo as mbabu/dummett or even anita could have atleast done an ok job of playing there.

  • 19 Transfer Sage // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:37 PM

Unfortunately there is no way Klopp would have come to us, not the way we are ran. He wouldn’t stand there lying to fans every week.

  • 20 Shot Bru // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:39 PM

Today’s result and this seasons performances under the Wally’s inept British style management are no surprise.

More trouncings on the cards during the Xmas period.

Fans need to stay away and protests need to be heard loud and clear.

    The club is completely broken!!

  • 21 Jib // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:44 PM

The time to post that will be the end of May IF we do go down , still 24 games or 72 points to go at the moment .

  • 22 Blackley and Brownlie // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:47 PM

If you no nothing about football, you don’t get involved with it. The dragons on dragons den eschew any invitation to invest in areas with which they are unfamiliar. Mr Tubbs knows nothing about football. If he does get involved, surely he would appoint andcrely on someone who does? Why on earth would he hand over to Chumley? It quite simply beggars belief. Last week Chumley had to act. Even now he won’t. He’s caught in the headlights like a cock pheasant.

  • 23 toonking // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:48 PM

    shot bru
british management being a thing of the past is one thing but a team consisting of so many mercuneries a terrible transfer policy and a defense in such a shambolic state is another

british managers do seem to be less advanced than a foreign manager but just where does a squad with such a bad attitude and such a shambolic defence come into british management?

we attacked, we did great passing and were always being a threat but lose 3-0 to sunderland and draw 0-0 against stoke. what part of british management gets the blame for a suqad so incapable of scoring the chances created?

  • 24 Blackley and Brownlie // Nov 28, 2015 at 7:48 PM

    Know not no

  • 25 Sav // Nov 29, 2015 at 12:13 AM

basically, we need Charnley to employ someone who will tell him and Carr that they are not up to doing their jobs, and that, I’m afraid, is not likely to happen anytime soon.
