Poll Results – Can McClaren Turn Things Around At Newcastle?

We still have only around 3700 votes in – one vote per reader – on whether Steve McClaren can turn things around at Newcastle – but we want to get as many votes in as possible.

At the moment about 88% of fans don’t think Steve McClaren can turn things around at Newcastle.

Steve McClaren – under pressure

The easiest thing for everybody concerned is that the players get their fingers out and listen to what Steve is telling them and start to deliver during the matches.

Something they haven’t done in the last three games.

But on the other hand, we cannot have too many more bad defeats before the end of the year – so there’s still some hope.

Where did you pull this from Ed?

Charnley and company, namely Mike Ashley?

Mike Ashley made it explicitly clear he would be involved in none of the footballing decisions whatsoever and he’d appointed apparent football people to make any football related decisions

Therefore Ed, the decisions in the future of those failing will be made by the board
Those failing the club at the moment are:
Graham Carr with his scouting and recruitment policy
Lee Charnley with his decision making on management appointments
Steve McClaren with his pitiful running of first team affairs

So a decision needs to be in the future of these failures, a decision by the board, the board that is made up of Charnley, Carr, McClaren…….oh and Moncur
    F*****g Canny that is

Oh and Ed, we will bring players in?
Squads full fella, need to sell some players first mate, you think Charnley can organise and execute those deals quickly enough to bring in reinforcements?
    No f*****g chance

Absolute joke of a club, were worse than the Mackems, at least they provide some twists and turns in their relegation runs, we’ve simply joined Aston Villa in the company of being completely and utterly pointless, were offer nout to the league and fully deserve to drop out of it

Gutless Pointless Devoid of passion ……that’s just our captain

No, he can’t. And I don’t think it’s his fault, either. The team he has inherited simply don’t want to be at the club, and aren’t prepared to fight for the lad next to them, let alone the shirt.

Ashley has to get involved because this board is not working.

    It’s simple

Unless he convinced Ashley to sell the club, no.

What a shambles. We need to get Gutierrez back to teach the players about passion

People seem to think that because of the money involved and the threat of relegation that Ashley won’t want to be relegated, of course he doesn’t but the three clubs that go down every year don’t want to either.

Ruddy – sorry mate but I’m disagreeing with you not putting a void stamp on your opinion. I just don’t see where you can deduce the Fat man is being exonerated by SM being his scapegoat. It looks pretty much universal Ashley gets the blame for the whole thing.

They need to bring in 2 players for each position that needs to be upgraded and hope one of them works out. Can any of us imagine them doing that?
