Pundit Believes No Upset For Newcastle On Sunday

8:53 am, Friday, December 4th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 4 Comments

Sky Sports Pundit cannot see Newcastle causing an upset at home on Sunday against Liverpool and he is forecasting a 4-0 win for Liverpool.

Well at least that’s less than the 6-0 thrashing we took in this fixture in late April 2013.

It’s sobering to think they took Southampton apart 6-1 on Wednesday night at St. Mary’s Stadium in the League Cup and striker Daniel Sturridge is back from injury and scored a brace.

Jurgen Klopp – Liverpool manager
What does this man have in store for Newcastle on Sunday?

The former Arsenal star doesn’t think Newcastle will cause Liverpool any trouble at all as he told Sky Sports:

“I’ve been in football a long time and have seen a few upsets in my time – but I cannot see one here.”

“I can see Liverpool beating Newcastle 4-0 at St James’ Park. I’ve watched Newcastle a couple of times in recent weeks and there are ways to lose football matches and the ways they’ve lost in recent weeks haven’t been good.”

“I’ve been impressed with Liverpool under Klopp and with the way they’ve been playing it should be an easy afternoon’s work.”

An easy afternoon’s work?

We’ll have to wait and see which Newcastle team turns up on Sunday, but we have even more injuries since last weekend’s humiliation at Crystal Palace.

Unfortunately, this game is being shown live on TV around the world on Sunday as the only game being played that day.

Mike Williamson and Jamaal Lascelles are both out injured – and Cheick Tiote is not ready to return from his groin injury.

This game could be over fairly quickly if the Newcastle team of the last two games turns up.

And Newcastle fans don’t have much hope at all.

This is the worst state Newcastle have been in both on and off the field or many years – since we were relegated in 2009.
