We would be very surprised if Steve McClaren changes the team he fields at White Hart Lane from the one who did so well to beat Liverpool 2-0 last Sunday at St. James’ Park.
But he may be tempted to make one or two changes to the side.
Ayoze Perez – could start on the bench again
Last week the one change to the side that had been hammered 5-1 at Selhurst Park was Siem de Jong coming in for 22 year-old Ayoze Perez and Siem is expected to retain his starting position at White Hart Lane as he tries to improve his sharpness.
The combination of Papiss Cisse and Siem de Jong up front worked quire well and their experience seemed to make a difference.
So we do expect the two up front to hold onto their places with Perez and Mitrovic again starting on the bench.
One change we would like to see is Kevin Mbabu coming in at left back for Paul Dummett.
Paul had a decent enough game last Sunday after a shaky start but Kevin definitely needs to be given another chance at either full-back position after his great performance against Chelsea.
Cheick Tiote and Rolando Aarons will return to training next week but are not fit for his game but Jamaal Lascelles is fit again after his slight hamstring strain and will be on the bench on Sunday.
So this is likely to be the side that starts tomorrow – and let’s hope we can get something out of this game.
Janmaat Mbemba Coloccini (c) Dummett
Sissoko Anita Colback Wijnaldum
Subs: Darlow Mbabu Lascelles Gouffran Thauvin Perez Mitrovic
That’s quite a strong bench.
What would your team be for tomorrow?
A win would be fantastic.
Can you help 3 year-old Kian?
On 31st October 2013 then 18 month old Kian from Prudhoe was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer – and it was high risk stage 4 plus MYCN – which is the most aggressive form of this rare cancer.
The parents were told he had a 50/50 chance of survival during treatment and if successful an 80% chance of a relapse, and while the initial treatment seemed to be successful a relapse has taken place.
Advanced treatment for Kian is only available in Germany or the USA and the cost of treatment is £550K.
His parents are trying desperately to raise the money after an agonizing last couple of years – please take a look on this web-site where there is a lot more information – and see if you can help out.
