Tragic News On Former Newcastle Star

Really bad news today that our former goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek has suffered a heart attack while running in the Czech Republic and he is now fighting for his life in an induced coma and is said to be in critical condition.

Pavel was at Newcastle only last week to publicize his new autobiography – Pavel is a Geordie – so this has come as a real shock to one of the most popular players ever to play for Newcastle.

It looks like it’s very serious and it seems that the 47 year-old collapsed while he was running in the town of Bohumin.

Srnicek was at Newcastle from 1991 until 1998.

Srnicek has also recently expressed an interest in coming back to Newcastle at some time in the future as a coach.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pavel at this tragic time and we hope he can pull through.

Newcastle United have sent out this and you can get a message to Pavel via his Twitter account @PavelSrnicekUK.

That is the case and a logical point of view / case you put forward. How many times has Dummett played well or drifted into play? The point I was making is that mbabu being right footed can defend either way when Delefou changes direction. Dummett will struggle!! Your opinion is just as valid as mine though!! Good debating like adults though don’t you think?

Best wishes to Pavel on a speed recovery. With player transfers at the uppermost in everybody’s minds and speculation rife between supporters of how much, who and whether Newcastle will follow form and buy cheap inexperienced players. But amongst all that a more serious decision needs to be made about management and in particular Steve McLaren. Even after all these months he doesn’t get the reasons why we were booing at the end of the match. He seemed to be angry that the support had dared to boo. Quite simply the result, the finishing and above all the low ambition he exudes when he speaks about the team performance. Contrast those comments with Klopp who has no problem identifying with his supporters over poor play. McLaren has had more than enough time to iron out the problems and if it’s left any longer we will be relegated starting with defeat on Boxing Day at Everton.
