Sky Sports Pundit Predicts Newcastle Result

Former Arsenal forward and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson hasn’t exactly gone out on a limb with his prediction for tomorrow’s Newcastle vs Everton game at St. James’ Park and he predicts a draw but thinks it will be an exciting game.

With the lack of points Newcastle have we don’t really care what kind of game it is – we need 3 points if we are going to get away form the relegation zone soon and although we are not half way through the season yet, points are beginning to be more important than the performance.

Paul Merson – predicts a draw

This is what Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports:

“Everton let in goals, and they throw points away left, right and centre so this should be an exciting game.

“Newcastle couldn’t afford to lose to Villa and that draw keeps Villa out of the way.”

“It wasn’t the worst result considering the wins they got over Tottenham and Liverpool. If you looked at it as a package, seven points out of nine, Steve McClaren would have taken that.”

“It’s hard to back Everton at the moment because even when they play well, like against Norwich, they end up drawing. I expect Romelu Lukaku to score again on Boxing Day, but he’s got a couple of hard games coming up.”

“Everton make plenty of chances each game, though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got very close to Jamie Vardy’s record.”

“I’m going with a draw, but if I had to pick a winner, I would go with Everton because if they play to their ability they’ll win this game.”

So Paul picks a scoreline of 1-1 but goes for Everton if there is going to be a winner.

After failing to beat Aston Villa last Saturday a defeat would not be good and could put us in the relegation zone again.

Here’s hoping for something out of this game but fans are all over the map on the result.

So IF Newcastle play to their ability, they can’t win this game? Well done, Paul

That was the 24th…the Holy Night and the day where we celebrate Christmas with all it has to offer.

25th is a day of rest and well needed I tell you 🙂 But it’s the day you guys are going though everything we just went through…just with different dishes!

I wonder is the exchange of gifts something you do in the morning and what about the singing and dancing around the Christmas tree?
