Here are some photos that have been published in the Chronicle today and some facts that have been issued on the Newcastle web-site about our new signing Henri Saivet – formerly of Bordeaux.

Newcastle have also issued this information on Henri Saivet’s career so far – on their web-site:

  1. Saivet was born in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, on 26th October, 1990.
  2. He joined the Academy at Bordeaux at the age of 11 and quickly rose through the ranks at the French club.
  3. Saivet became the youngest professional in Bordeaux’s history when he signed his first professional deal in 2007.
  4. On the final day of the 2007/08 campaign he made his first team debut, stepping off the substitutes’ bench for the final 12 minutes of Bordeaux’s 2-2 draw at Lens.
  5. Saivet had to be patient for game time in the seasons that followed, making a handful of appearances, but enjoyed a successful loan spell at Ligue 2 side Angers in the second half of the 2010/11 season.
  6. Returning to Bordeaux, he began to make an impact on the first team squad and was a key part of their Coupe de France triumph in 2013.
  7. Saivet went on to become a key player for Bordeaux and made a total of 178 appearances in all competitions, scoring 23 goals.
  8. Originally a forward or winger, Saivet was converted into a holding central midfielder in recent years and flourished, taking on the captain’s armband at Bordeaux.
  9. Saivet represented France at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-21 level, but switched allegiances to his homeland in 2013, and has won nine senior caps for Senegal to date.
  10. Saivet made a great start to his Newcastle career by scoring a brace in each of his first three games for his new club – all wins

Comments welcome.

Oh yes – sorry – almost forgot – I made up that last fact – it’s currently fiction – but you never know.

So then of the names realistically linked I can see this being a strong team and my personal choice would be
    Elliot
    —–mbemba—collo—-koudibally
    Jaan–sissoko–shelvey—saivet—-willems
    ——————-gini—————
    ——————-berahino————–

Perez, mitro, de Jong, thauvin on bench very nice. Bring in byram in summer along with Ben yedder, tieleman, veltman I’ll be a happy boy and could maybe dare to dream we will finish above 15th next yeat

    SWANS LISTENING TO SHELVEY OFFERS

Swansea interim boss Alan Curtis has said the club are willing to listen to offers for Jonjo Shelvey.

The midfielder, 23, has been linked with a move away in January, with Newcastle reportedly interested.

“I don’t think there have been any firm offers yet. If a firm offer comes in then it’s probably something the club would have to consider,” Curtis said.

Looks like there selling Shelvey boys

I’m not so certain that the opportunity was ever really there to try to bring Cabaye back to Tyneside. I really enjoyed him in the Black and White but he likely wanted to leave NUFC for all the suspected reasons: no ambition by the club, chance to play champs league, incompetence in the club hierarchy (JFK really?), rumoured wage cap due to colo somehow being designated as always the highest paid player and so on. Nothing in the time since he left would have changed this opinion about our club. So maybe he was available from PSG for 10M or 13M whatever. It was always suggested that Pardew was a manager that the players liked to play for, tactics and such aside, and it would seem Cabaye rated him and knew Pardew would support him no matter what. And maybe Palace is giving him 100K per week. BUT what would make you think he would want to return to Newcastle under this regime?

I don’t think Dean is bias, he just doesn’t like us very much, we never get anything off him regardless of our opponents.

If were going to sign anyone in January it will be from The Mondial agency. This is a list of there players

    http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mondial-sport-management-amp-consulting-sarl/beraterfirma/berater/2106

You will see some familiar names on there…

Sure Carr must be getting a good backhander from these lads

Your not wrong mate, our players will have to be aware of Manure’s tricks in and around the box, because Dean doesn’t need many excuses to point at the spot.

I’m really pleased with signing of Saivet. I’ve never heard of him but everything I’ve read on him makes me think he’s ideal for our midfield. He seems really suited to this league.
Now for shelvey and a striker.

“so Mr Dean, why did you call for a penalty 8 yards outside the box? isn’t that a bit far?”

“well, I saw Wayne on the wing, and it looked like whoever number 7 is for those bastards shoulder him, and rooney, the upstanding lad that he is, almost dropped his prawn sandwich, which a supporter all the way from Manchester thoughtfully brought him, so I called it.. its a good call, maybe a great call even, I stand by it…”
