There´s A Hitch With Possible Remy Loan Deal

The Northern Echo is reporting today that there is potential problem with a potential loan deal for Loic Remy of Chelsea, and that´s because Newcastle are not interested in signing Remy on a permanent basis because of his age and his high wage demands.

Loic must be getting huge wages at Chelsea and if he moved he would want a similar wage packet, which Newcastle would be unwilling to pay.

Loic Remy inaction for Newcastle two years ago

We´re not exactly sure what the problem is exactly, other than Ashley doesn´t like to sanction loan deals that don´t have an option to make the move permanent.

So in this case why not just do the loan deal – because Loic wouldn´t want to join us in any case – we have to remember he´s already turned us down twice.

It’s very likely that once Chelsea finalize the deal for Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, they will let Loic move out on loan.

And having Loic on loan for six months would be a great solution for Newcastle and for Loic – because he would be motivated to do well so he can make the French squad for the Euro 2016 Championships in France in June.

And he would be playing for a club that has a very high profile in France and the reports are he would be willing to come to the north-east on loan.

Sounds good to us.

What do you think?

Just get him in, we need a striker that can score. Can’t afford to mess about or stick with what we’ve got.

High profile in what way, big club? Or just a club that only buys French Players

Seems a stupid enough reason… either BS or, given this club’s dealings, utterly believable.

We need to get players in otherwise we are going down, it’s as simple as that, so the three stooges stop pissing about get the players in, if you don’t then you each deserve a firework up your arses, that’s the only way do get you muppets motivated.

Considering we haven’t really been linked with anyone, don’t think we are going to sign anyone.

Ok, so if there is potential problem with a potential loan deal for Loic Remy and that´s because Newcastle are not interested in signing Remy on a permanent basis because of his age and his high wage demands – then surely Charnley can think of a way around this? Pay Remy on a performance bais perhaps?

Do these clowns not realise that.the amount at stake far exceeds the money they’d pay someone who scores the goal we’re not getting – scored the goals that save us from relegation!

It appears that they’re concerned more about upsetting the sodding wage structure than relegation!

And, if SD actually paid for its damned advertising, there’d be money available to pay the wages that good players command.

Is there anyone out there that can kick some sense into Charnley? Does Ashley actually appreciate what’s at stake here? Is he happy to risk losing tens of millions for the sake a relatively small sum now?

    These people beggar belief!

I’ve been blogging this point about Remy for ages. A loan deal would be ideal. More important would be to buy two top class defenders now because we are leaking goals badly. Personally I would prefer a Remy loan deal and scrub Berainho for now because he is lacking match practice after sitting on the bench for so long. Townsend, again not playing any first team games so he must be ring rusty and worth no more than £11m. Take your pick !

I think the major hitch is there isn’t a deal.

Blackley from previous, spelling checker for SM? gladly, although if it means sorting through his tacticles I might pass.

‘…We need to get players in otherwise we are going down…’

You could have said that after the last game of last season.

We got players in during the summer and given the relative positions between last season and this season it is argueable that the summer recruits have not made us any safer.

So in other circumstances if you continue to buy things, thinking that this is the solution to the problem, but the problem remains do you persist with the same course of action or do something completely different ?

If the new recruits in the summer couldn’t change things why assume that the winter recruits will ?

The league table doesn’t lie. It is no coincidence that the three teams that escaped relegation last season are the three teams now facing relegation.

If we go down we may become the most expensively constructed team to do so in the history of the Premiership.

You know as well as most that there’s no way Lacazette’ll arrive

The press is churning out this crap at the behest of Bullshit Bishop in the hope that’ll it’ll pacify the natives who are fast becoming restless.

Now if you believe the Torygraph in this, you need to give yourself a shake to recover your senses.

It seems that Harper’s been getting abuse after signing for Sunderland.

What are these clowns thinking of? FFS, the lad spent years with us but the idiots clearly don’t see that he didn’t sign for us because he probably wasn’t approached!

I think we’re after Lacazette, cos we want to send thauvin back to france.. The only place hes rated.. But the bid would probably be close to 18 + thauvin..?

The problem seems fairly obvious, Chelsea would prefer to sell rather than loan Remy out. This is the Ba situation all over again – Chelsea didn’t loan Ba out either. Chelsea only loan out players that have a future at the club.

Apparently Chelsea have a 1 in, 1 out policy, because of the amount of players currently on their books.

@Nightfall – I don’t know enough about Lacazette but he seems highly rated by Carr. Not that it says much these days. We need a goal scorer, clearly Thauvin isn’t happy here and not sure he should be given he said he wants to play centrally. 18+ Thauvin for this fella might not be the worst deal in the world.

I wonder if Charnley and the Brain Trust remember why Remy joined us in the first place – something to do with not wanting to play in the Championship.

How about offering Chelsea a deal.
£2 million loan fee if the club goes down, then Remy returns to Chelsea. If the club stays up, give Chelsea £1 million more than an agreed valuation. That would cover all the bases.
There is no risk of Championship football for Remy, and Chelsea get a fee or a sale.

Remy is pushing for the move as Pato is coming in and he needs to be playing first team because of the Euros selections. I think he e would like the French connection at Toon. Will the three stooges be able to broker a deal?

Well if it’s a question of “couldn’t get him over the line” this time it’ll be followed by, “just couldn’t stop us falling into the Championship”. This could be Wally’s last big job and a good item on his cv.
