Things are starting to go a little wild at Newcastle this afternoon into the evening with Sky Sports reporting it will be very busy over the next couple of days as Newcastle try to bring in another three players.
Busy few days to come at Newcastle United – potential for up to 3 more new faces to arrive before deadline.
— Keith Downie (@SkySports_Keith) January 29, 2016
Newcastle have been linked with trying to bring in three players on loan today.
They are 28 year-old Roma striker Seydou Doumbia who we have been linked with many times in the past going back to the summer of 2013 when he was still at CSKA Moscow.
Doumbia only moved to Roma a year ago but he didn’t do well with only two goals in 15 appearances and he is currently on loan back at CSKA Moscow.
The 33 times capped Ivory Coast International has been a prolific goalscorer in his career.
Football Italia is reporting that Newcastle are now the favorites to sign the Roma striker after Fenerbahce talks broke down and Newcastle are now in advanced negotiations for Doumbia.
The 28 year-old powerful striker is said to be eager to join the Premier League and so talks are expected to progress quickly.
Football Italia also report there has been interest from Fenerbahce, Swansea and Sunderland, but nothing came of those negotiations.
Earlier today we were linked with wanting Valencia left-back Lucas Orban, who can also play at center-back and the Argentine International would be an excellent signing for us.
We have also been linked this afternoon with 29 year-old Atletico Madrid’s Brazilian left back Guilherme Siqueira and Sky Sports are reporting that deal is all but one and that he is expected to be in Newcastle over the weekend to take his medical.
It’s not clear with Siqueira coming for a medical whether that means our interest in Lucas Orban will end.
There may also be other targets Newcastle are after which have not broken in the press yet.
One big disappointment if this afternoon’s Mirror report is true is that it seems Leicester City have beaten us to the signing of Loic Remy.
The Chronicle is also reporting Newcastle plan to be busy in the next few days to bring more players in and signings could go down to the wire at 11:00 pm Monday night.
Comments welcome.

If you didn’t randomly pick on bloggers you might have a better case. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would realise Not everybody is as limited in a basic understanding of English as you and your cape crusader fiend.
There are countless usages of Yer it’s an idiom. In – yer face!
Instead of watching the football go on dictionary. Cambridge .org . Under the British English option and you will see all the translations .
It’s widely used in comic sketches and generally as a means of mocking. Geddit. I plan to use it all the time and I see many have already seen what a clown you are.

Comment #85If we do get Doumbia and one of the left backs on loan I think it will be a good move.
The club obviously can’t get a deal sorted this window (which is notoriously hard) for their preferred targets. So a couple of decent loan signings to help us out until the summer seems like a good idea.
Doumbia could work out to be a great signing for us. He looks like he’s well suited to the premiership. That’s if it’s true.

I lost all my login details when I moved last year.
I couldn’t log on as Bandb, so I had to create a new account.
I posted as RandR for a few days until someone mentioned I could change my moniker.
I change THAT to Bandb, despite that name being “taken”.
Maybe you don’t need a lot of different accounts. Once the name is through one brief moderation, it seems you may be able to just change your name to others you’ve got through moderation previously. You can dig upload names from years ago and recycle them.
All day and night if you are so inclined.

I personally preferred you as Sack Llambias. You didn’t spend all your time in a paranoid state but talked football. Or maybe it was when you were Raj I am confused! Who were you when you did your Ashley/ too good for ?
You and the old Finkler just stop pestering. I could have chatted on here tonight but the pair of were just bitching away like a couple of big girls blouses.

Comment #112So now talk of a striker, AND left back. Too good to be true, although frankly even if it were too happen, exchanging Tiote for the untested and relatively unaccomplished Saivet appears an unnecessary gamble at first sight.
But, if we do manage to get a couple of decent players in, in those positions, then you’d have to say fair play, although whether it will be enough to overcome the previous years gaffes remains to be seen, and will be over the next only 15 games we have to save our season. 15 games on the tail end of over a seasons worth of undoubted relegation form. Crikey!

Comment #114Dumb is is tailor made for this league, quick, powerful and gat finisher, if we could get him it would be a great addition, but with this being NUFC I’m dubious to say the least as this could be the clubs PR/BS going into overdrive to try and lay the foundation for the coming excuses

Give ’em enough rope, especially when Alpha Dog has been on the sauce and whoosh straight into the self capture net. Condemned by his own arrogance. Clear again Alpha Dog= Ian Toon =Carl = too many to name.

Comment #118Wouldn’t that be considered rather unsporting of Spurs, bearing in mind our relative need. They are going for the title though I suppose.
Sounds more like the sort of dirty trick our own owner might commonly be believed to be capable of stooping to though, given the chance.
Although in reality, bidding wars aren’t our cup of tea at all.
I wonder how dirty it actually gets?

Doumbia has the same attributes as Berahino, Just an older version haha !
