Transfer Status For Newcastle – Is This It?

Here’s how we stand on the very decent business we have completed at Newcastle in January, with just about seven and a half hours still to go in the transfer window.

Only players who have played first team football are included in the loan deals and the transfer fees are estimates.

Apparently we have looked at Santon on loan, but he would only come back permanently.

Panic buying going well. Shame we couldn’t offload some of the chaff though. I guess there’s not enough teams desperate for the skills of obertan, marveaux, gouffran and the like.

Shame we couldn’t offload more of our duffers – guess they are happy to sit in reserves on money they won’t get elsewhere

    More I’m guessing too –

That’s not to say I’m not pleased with the window so far. Shelvey was, imo, a good purchase, Doumbia should score some goals and Perez is a bonus.

I expect some out-goings, hopefully one or two more purchases too.
I can smell the fear from the boardroom 😉

Not sure about Enrique either, he was good for us linking up superbly with Jonas but is he fit enough, I’m not sure he is in good enough shape at the minute and seeing as it is now that we need someone then for me I would say no to him, give him 3/4 weeks to get into shape then yes he would be useful but by then we would have our LB’s back

This is all well and good but we need some defensive playing personnel bought in on this transfer window.
Get in Gibbs on loan with Prem Exp would make this window one of the best we have had for a long time. Howay the Toon!!

    Looks much more promising …

Enrique or Santon? Not sure about either of them, but we are pretty desperate at left back at the moment. Don’t want either of them permanently though as I’m looking for a move on Willems come the end of the season (if we’re still up).

Well for me this is like christmas. I’m about to hit the sack with a wake up time of 7am being 11pm toontime. If I manage to sleep tonight, considering this is definitely the most active I can 0remember us being at the end of the window, I would love to wake up to a few new presents!

Enjoy the rest of your day lads and lasses. See you and our new look, relegation beating, europa league dreaming team in the morning 😉

Sky saying at least 2 more after Doumia.
Remember we got bumped for 2 left backs in Spain (ty Gary Neville) so we are still chasing.
We tried for Alex Buttner from Dynamo Moscow but he plumped for Anderlecht .
There’s 7 hours to go yet , in the window that’s loads of time.

Riviere to Lille on loan talk has gone quiet, could be dependant on whether we get another striker in today.

i’d take enrique back in a shot he was great for us last time and has everything in his game.

even puds fans can not explain why he’s not being played as he does well when he is.

It appears to be a sensible (Maybe desperate) window although last day deals are a nightmare-
Getting a left back in would free up Dummet to cover across the back and with sicknote Taylor back too.

I would be very surprised if we break our transfer record.

For the sake of 5m get santon in, can play lb, rb, midfield if needs be, even covered at cb before we need that versatility, then ship colo out get a quality cb and you’ll be forgiven for all your sins Mr Ashley!

Yes it’s going to be a long day. On Enrique, he might be a decent buy. We have been saying for some time we could do with a backup keeper. He played a blinder against that Newcastle outfit 🙂

But Santon is awful. Not a great defender but even more woeful up the line. Never got any better after day one, unfortunately. I remember harping on about him and Simmo not sticking to their day jobs. No thank er-youuu!

dummet had an 18 year old martial in his pocket for one half. thats really been the only match with any contribution of note. by far one of the worst players who has inexplicably managed to hold down a starting spot in a long time. on par with raylor’s stint at left back in 09 and gouffran.

Enrique come home, another player that left for the bright lights of another club to sit on the bench. When will these players ever learn. Sign for us stay with us and play regular football. Not rocket science, leave the dark side Enrique come back to the light. Or should that be come back to the Black and White.

How long are Colback and Dummett out for, I doubt that they will be ready for the Everton game but they may be ready for the West Brom game, is it really that important to get a LB in ?

Seems like M Tubbs is desperate to keep us up so he can make more money. He is having to pay silly money to get average/squad players. He might even pay 30 million for the Baggies forward. What goes round comes around. Its about time he got shafted.

    A passing thought
The MLS season doesn’t start until March 6th 2016
Ashley Cole has signed for LA Galaxy
What better way to stay fit than have a couple of months in the PL covering NUFC’s weak left back situation.

agreed mate, but think its just a short term job till the summer…actually this loaning a left back has only increased my belief that we have an agreement to get willems in the summer…..no proof or anything just what i believe
