Poll – Can Newcastle Win At Chelsea?

At some point in our final seven away games of the season we will need to pick up some wins if we are going to survive in the Premier League this season – and our next game on the road is at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 13th February (unlucky for some) in the early kick-off game at 12:30 pm.

That’s our last game until March 2nd when we are at Stoke City, so it would be good to get something out of the game.

Guus Hiddink – Chelsea manager

Let’s know how you think we can do at Chelsea on Saturday.

If we press them and take the game to them then yes we can get a result, so that’s a loss with the usual counter-attacking surrender.

From last topic – I don’t like to criticise Ed because he does a brilliant job running this blog. However I found it ironic that he criticised Derby for sacking their manager but then in the next sentence suggested McClaren should be sacked even if he keeps us up – go figure?

What has to be considered is the”R” factor. Spineless referees who have a different law book for the big sides. See Arsenal v Bournemouth for evidence. Does anyone think that Tiote goal would have been disallowed if it was Toure scoring against us for example. I’ll tell you now now way.

I’ve been called some terrible things in my time, but none have cut me more than table watcher…..

A good discussion on the topic. Very worthwhile. There isn’t really much point in responding to you, but I will anyway….

Go back through the season, after most games I’ve posted on the performance, be it good or bad, looking at both the positives and the negatives. ie. objectively. Can you honestly say you have done the same? I’ve praised when we have lost, and criticised when we have won, and vice versa. We are where we are because in many games McClaren has got his tactics and selection completely wrong for the game.

Yes, players have let him down as well, and the squad isn’t perfect, but if we had been playing good football all season, and creating all these chances then we wouldn’t be where we are.

As for table watching, should we be celebrating if we go down having watched a few games where we have played better than the last few years (hardly gushing praise that is it)?

CAN Newcastle win at Chelsea? Yes… why not? Chelsea’s season the way it is, Newcastle, the way we are in general! The main question is- WILL they win at Chelsea. I know Brom aren’t in good form, but we played some great football against them, looked pacey.
Mbemba will boss Costa and we will hit them on the break…that is if he has recovered. Anyone know when he’s due back?
Doumbias first game for seniors maybe aswell, Chelsea wanted him two years ago… can see the script already!

Just here to spread positive vibes on the blog!
