The player who has run the furthest for Newcastle this season in the league is Dutch International Georginio Wijnaldum, who has covered a total distance of 266.07 Km in his 22 Premier League games.
Gini has also scored the most goals for us – 9 goals and 2 assists in the league this season.
Gini Wijnaldum celebrates – Yes – I’ve run the furthest!!
The Premier league player who has run the furthest of anybody is 29 year-old Bournemouth midfielder Andrew Surman, who has covered 303.85Km – about 37km further than Gini.
Keep up these important stats because there could be a test on this at the end of the season.

I must admit I thought the same as you but he didn’t change his story and I gave up because he can be a good poster

Comment #45Firebug said we’re third bottom of the U21 league. Beardo has already had them relegated, surely we need to get someone more qualified to bring these lads through. Did your son play for us last night fb?

Comment #46WWSBRB – We obviously disagree here, but I’m yet to see anything from him to get too excited about, think he’ll be good, and the best since cabaye, but not better than in my opinion. Hope I’m wrong and the lad surprises me though. And becoming a full international in an average England side doesn’t impress me that much these days, the only players in the middle I’d say are really top quality are Barkley and Wiltshire… And at the same time whilst I agree we are underachieving I don’t think were as good as some believe, the only top 4 players I think we have are wini perez and mbemba, none of which are fully developed, janmaats close and maybe sissoko on a good day, even then I cant think what position he’d fit into… And mitro could get there one day, but overall I just don’t see it…

Comment #47Jail…I wouldn’t mind, but the club did place huge importance on our youth setup being a key part to our future success (you know, as we can’t compete financially…), yet it appears, to just be getting worse over time.
Didn’t we have a fairly decent youth team a couple or three seasons ago?

colback’s only played in 18 games, Gini’s played in 25. It’d be better if it were a list of average distance.
I agree, colback or sissoko probably cover more distance

Why not acknowledge that it could appear it is a knee jerk reaction, rather than try to hide your tracks with “style of play”?

Even an average England side is a good international side. Cabaye plays in an average France side tbf
And I dont think NUFC are that good but certainly a mid table side if not top 10, better than Palace where Cabaye currently plys his trade
But hey ho time will tell…certainly dont think people are mad for saying Cabayes replacement has been finally brought in though

i don’t think you necessarily have to be at the game to get a perspective. we can all see on a good live stream who regularly plays c–p and who is half decent.

Comment #63If I was McClaren I would not start against Chelsea with either Moussa Sissoko or Georginio Wijnaldum on the pitch, but on the bench. They both will tire considerably at the end of the season and they can wind down before the week off.

But Shelvey has the tools to get to Cabayes level imo

Comment #68Catching up after being out and it really is hard to decide which is worse the trolls or the troll hunters who seem to be getting fun out of their mission whilst saving all us innocent bystanders.
There is a way of dealing with them without all this fuss and it is not to engage once it is evident that they are trolls/ OK some are more obvious from the start but even if the morph whilst you are having a dialogue just give up.
They cannot stop the blog only make it harder for it to flow. What gives them more fun – being ignored or stirring up a good old witch hunt.
Just scroll on down (or up) as we all do with those we do not care to read. This is not holier than thou just trying to be practical. I posted the other night whilst Mr Lyric was in full flow and it simply didn’t bother me as I could see immediately what posts were and skipped to the next.

I suspected that Rob Vollans was behind a lot of these accounts on here so decided to air these views on the blog last week and then today he deleted most traces of himself from the interweb and shortly afterwards the account I believe to be Rob Vollans main account returned to the blog after a 6 day absense to plead his innocence.

Comment #78Ok. Its all gone a bit paranoid in here..
So for the sake of clarity, and to avoid the spanish inquisition…. My username is Markaccus, but i used the screen name option on the account to become what you see now.
