News today that Kevin Mbabu has returned to training with the Newcastle first team and that could give us another option at our problematic left-back position.
We’re not sure whether Paul Dummett will be available for the game at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday night, but if Kevin is fit he showed against Chelsea last September that he’s more than capable of playing well at left back in a crucial game for Newcastle.

Kevin seems to have recovered from his latest problem – a thigh injury – which has kept him out of action since the beginning of the year – and it’s good that we are getting more players coming back from injury.
Massadio Haidara is still out with his knee injury but he is finally expected to return in two or three weeks.
And at Stoke, Steve McClaren may go with Jack Colback at left back if Dummett is still not available.
We will need as many players back from injury as possible if we are to survive in the Premier League this season during the crucial 12 game run-in.
