We reported a day or two ago that Rolando Aarons could be on his way out of Newcastle and it seems there is no agreement on contract terms between newcatsle and Rolando’s agents and so he could well leave this summer.
That’s one reason we hear that big clubs like Arsenal, Juventus and AC Milan would be interested in signing the player.
Rolando Aarons – leaving the club this summer?
Aarons joined Newcastle United in 2012 after being released by his home town club Bristol City and since the player has come through the Youth System at Newcastle we should be due some compensation even through he will be a free agent at the end of June.
The Mirror is reporting that no agreement can be reached between Aarons and Newcastle and it looks like he will leave the club in the summer – but surely Newcastle are doing everything in their power to keep the young winger?
Rolando has picked up a lot of injuries in the last 20 months or so which is why he has only made 10 appearances with two goals for the Newcastle first team.
But he looked really good when brought on as a second half substitute against Norwegian side Lillestrom SK in La Manga, Spain and he headed home the winning goal.
Rolando signed his first professional contract with Newcastle in late March two years ago and he was heralded at that time by Peter Beardsley as being a special talent.
“Rolando’s had a brilliant month. He’s always had ability, but he’s shown great character in the last month and we’re delighted that he’s agreed to sign this contract.“
“He has a lot of talent and now he’s adding the work rate to it. He has a bright future and it’s good news for us going forward.”
It would be a surprise to us if the club allow Aarons to leave this summer.
What do you think?

Comment #2If he goes anywhere it will be Arsenal
SerieA these days is a step down.
He’ll go to the Gooners get a big signing on fee and get lost in their system.

Comment #3Bolasie should be back for Palace tonight, that could be curtains for Sunderland.
Interesting looking odds on West Brom, I get the impression Leicester are about to come unstuck.

Comment #4He’s not out of contract in June. Newcastle have the option of another 12 months, which is why there’s no great rush. Let’s be honest, he needs to earn a new contract and so far he hasn’t. Mainly due to injuries, but that needs to be taken into account anyway.

Comment #5McLaren excuses are being laid out well before Wednesday’s defeat at Stoke, otherwise why would he blame ‘the team’ and not take the responsibility to blame himself. It seems that McLaren can say things that should upset the Heirachy of any club all except those and the owner of Newcastle United and get away with them. Lack of accountability goes a long way to explain the lack management skills at the club and with that the spurious football being dished out to the supporters.

Comment #6I DON’T want SLand to win tonight but I just can’t see Palace on current form beating them. I reckon a draw would be a good result for us as it keeps both of them within reach.
And at the risk of more sarcasm I would rather see Palace go down than Sland providing they finish below us.

I don’t know your sources but every link I’ve checked out says he signed a one year extension June 2015 .
He is clearly en thrall to his agents , a partnership of a Swiss German lawyer Manfred Muller and Bekim Jusif who lives in Skopje Macedonia. (Where do these kids find them ! )

Comment #8It’s a no brainer trying to tie up Aarons to a longer contract. If the injury problems turned out to be chronic then it’s a gamble worth taking imo.
If he is able to get more regular games and turns out to be as good as everyone thinks he is then he’d be worth a lot more to one of the big clubs.

Comment #10Strange one tonight, should be gunning for Palace and will be more than happy if they take the points but will take a grim satisfaction if Parsnip left empty handed. A dispirited, boring affair with no goals and no shots on target with both managers getting abuse would be the best outcome.

i cant see palace winning tonight to be honest, they’ve been poor for a while now and the mackems have a bit fight about them tho lacking quality…so i would be surprised if palace get anything from the game tbh…..although we could do with them showing up….not that i want palace to win!lol

Comment #17I rarely post on here now but when I have I’ve consistently said that our problems season after season have been a lack of genuine aggression, characters, shouters and those willing to put a shift in game after game, home or away.
Signing lightweight fancy dans who can no doubt play keepy ups for hours on end but won’t put even 45 minutes of consistent effort into a match – especially away – are why we are yet again in serious danger of relegation.
If we survive no way should Ashley trust Carr to recommend spending the £60M he is said to be prepared to spend next season.
Signing Thauvin for £13M after sending his photocopy Cabella back to France truly has to rank alongside the likes Marcellino as one of our worst ever signings.
There aren’t many more optimistic fans than me but making the same signing errors season after season – even when we spend £10M+ – has left us with a mess of a squad that needs radical surgery.
We have far to many players who flatter to deceive.
As for McClaren, either he isn’t ruthless enough in his one to one talks with the culprits or they aren’t taking a blind bit of notice of him.
Either way he should be out whether we survive or not.

just reading on transfermarkt that he’s out of contract in june no mention of a extension mate….you still may be right but according to that site he’s off in june unless he signs a new contract……although he’s showed flashes of good play im not exactly gutted we have’nt tied him down to a contract yet to be honest….we would be signing potential not quality….quality have earned there big money….potential still have to prove they are worth the big money.

Don’t you think with eleven games to go and possibly second bottom then it’s not time to act, a new manager bounce is what we need, Mclaren is not the answer. You can not persist with a manager who has had you in the bottom four all season, especially with a team that has shown what they could be capable of in flashes.

Comment #31Skopje, not a popular holiday destination, has a few concrete hangovers from communist Yugoslavia days and still a bit run down but it has a nice cafe sprawl by the river which is dirt cheap. Driving in Macedonia is for those who do not particularly cherish life though 🙂 did that once, won’t chance my arm a second time though.
Anyway that was my travelogue excerpt for today. Tomorrow, Skegness.

Comment #32Our players should be shown old videos of Mike Tyson in his prime boxing, yes a completely different sport but they’d see the pure grit and the determination you need to work hard and win.
We have very little or no determination to actually win. A definite loosing attitude among our players. I just hope we do better next season in the championship.

Comment #35Just flicking through pages on newsnow and on the chronics daily blog they say they’ve done some digging re Aarons and they say he’s not out of contract in June after all. They don’t say why, but that would fit with my 12 month option. Can’t recall where I read it, but this appears to lend it some credence! 😉

I’d bring Benitez in, if you’ve got 80M to spunk on players why not get an A list manager, what’s the point in spending all that money and getting duffers in.
