One Shoe Has Fallen – One To Go – When Will Club Communicate?

It looks like one show has fallen in that it seems Steve McClaren has been told he will be fired.

The very  look of Steve McClaren as he left the Newcastle training ground today suggests he knows he will be sacked – and it looks like he has now been told that – a short five days after his side looked absolutely pathetic against AFC Bournemouth last Saturday in losing 3-1 at home.

Steve was supposed to be meeting with Lee Charnley today but whether that meeting took place or not, it looks like he has been told he will be relieved of his duties as Newcastle coach.

Steve McClaren – leaving Benton today

Sky Sports reported the former England manager will be fired before next Monday’s trip to Leicester City.

That’s one shoe that has fallen, but still not officially – so when on earth is Lee Charnley going to communicate something to the outside world on what is happening?

If Steve McClaren has been fired announce it – put it on the web-site!

There may be nothing said even today – the 5th day since the Bournemouth defeat and there’s news that Rafa Benitez will be announced tomorrow on a new three year deal with the option of getting out of the contract if Newcastle are relegated in May.

That’s the next shoe to fall – but it looks as though this circus that has been going on at Newcastle since Saturday night could continue into a 6th day.

It’s not doing any good for the image of Newcastle United – that’s for sure.

The news coming from the local press this week has been consistent in that the club wouldn’t fire McClaren until they had someone lined up – so that means the appointment of Rafa Benitez as the new Newcastle manager moves a step closer.

It will be a sensational coup if Newcastle can pull this off – which is now looking very likely.

Only NUFC can balls up sacking someone, we are truly a pathetic outfit run by idiots who are so far out of their depth is worth asking who ties their shoelaces in the morning
