Leicester City svgnufc emblem

Rafa Benitez has just announced the Newcastle team for his very first game in charge of Newcastle United against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tonight and Anita, Perez. Colback and Mitrovic are all in the starting line-up.

Newcastle (4-2-3-1): Rob Elliot; Daryl Janmaat, Steven Taylor, Jamaal Lascelles, Jack Colback; Vurnon Anita, Jonjo Shelvey (c); Moussa Sissoko, Georginio Wijnaldum, Ayoze Perez; Aleksandar Mitrovic
Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Jamie Sterry, Henri Saivet, Siem de Jong, Andros Townsend, Emmanuel Riviere, Seydou Doumbia

Referee: Craig Pawson (South Yorkshire)

It’s the familiar 4-3-3-1 formation with Perez preferred to Andros Townsend who is on the bench as is young Jamie Sterry.

Darlow, Saivet, de Jong, Riviere and Doumbia are the others on the bench tonight with Shelvey again the captain.

This is the first time back for Siem de Jong who may even get a run-out in the second half, after the Dutchman has now recovered from that serious eye injury.

Jack Colback, as expected, comes in at left back for the injured Paul Dummett.

Anita gets the chance to play the defensive midfield role in the center of the park alongside the captain, after just returning from injury.

We need to start picking up points now and with Rafa in charge, hopefully we will start doing that tonight.

A point out of this game would be a very good point.

This is what Rafa said about the lead in to this game:

“We only have three sessions before the first game so it’s going to be difficult against the team at the top of the table. We’ve got a good staff here who are giving us all of the information that we need to prepare so hopefully we can do it.”

“From what I’ve seen I know we have a very good group of players so we need to give them confidence and from them, I will expect 100% in every game.” “The players want to impress the new manager and they have the ability to do so.”

“For now we have to be calm, but not too calm, and approach the games one at a time.”  “Leicester is up next so all of our concentration is on this game.” “I know Ranieri well and he’s doing a great job at Leicester.”

“I think it’s great for the Premier League to have a team like Leicester at the top of the table. It shows that if you do things the right way, you can win anything.”

“They are fantastic and after Monday’s game, I wish them to win the Premier League.” “I will be there in the dugout. I like to be on the pitch with my players and in the dressing room.”

“I like to try to motivate them and give them instructions. From now I am 100% focused and ready.”

About 70% of fans think we can get something out of this game.

Twitter account has the formation as 4-4-1-1.

    Nufc.co.uk:

“Newcastle are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Rob Elliot behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Steven Taylor, Jamaal Lascelles and Jack Colback.

Anita will join stand-in captain Jonjo Shelvey in the middle of the park, operating just behind a trio of Moussa Sissoko, nine-goal leading scorer Georginio Wijnaldum and Spanish forward Ayoze Perez.”

Good to see Anita back. Just hope he’s fit.

  • 4 Belfast // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:05 PM

Think it will be 4231 that’s what he always plays.

  • 5 manxpie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:05 PM

Looks like a 4411 with perez on the left

Time for some beer me thinks, hope this is a different Newcastle tonight, I want to watch the one that plays to win games.

  • 11 Mister Tuff // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:08 PM

Colback at fullback – reasonable – at least it should speed up the midfield a bit.

  • 12 Bri // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:09 PM

Well if Wally had of picked that team everybody would have been up in arms.

  • 13 Blackley and Brownlie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:10 PM

Looks like Benitez is making the best of a bad job with that line up. All the best Rafa.

  • 14 JackButler // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:10 PM

From a technical perspective we are more than good enough to stay up, it’s the mentality that has been the biggest issue for years. Raffa’s job is simp,y getting the players to put in 100%, easier said than done but it’s a damn sight easier than trying to get results with a bunch of poor players

  • 15 Lee Charnley Bunga Party // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:10 PM

This relies on Sissoko , Wijnaldum , Mitrovic and Perez putting a shift in dont mind Colback at left back he has pace and he can sort of man mark Mahrez

I think Anita beside Shelvey is a good move he will put a shift in and will keep his discipline

  • 16 sing in the corner // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:11 PM

That’ll be Jack Colback suspended for the makems game you would think. He’s gonna be a busy boy at full back tonight, can’t see him not collecting a booking somewhere in the game..

  • 17 firebug666 // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:11 PM

    Bri

True mate, but then Wally never had a game plan that worked.

    Enforced line up tbh.

    Yeah, good luck Rafa.

  • 20 swemag // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:12 PM

Sorry everybody…I lost interest in this season some time ago and was looking forward to Championship football…maybe now we have a chance.

What’s up with Aarons? Injured again?

  • 21 Blackley and Brownlie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:12 PM

It’s Shelvey, Gini and Moussa who let us down on the road. They’ll be key tonight.

  • 22 Jib // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:12 PM

Subs after 60 mins are going to be crucial.
Without any bad injuries to cock things up
I can see Townsend ,Siem de Jong and Doumbia all coming on .

  • 23 Blackley and Brownlie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:13 PM

    Swemag
Aaron’s isn’t yet good enough in my book. I can’t see him starting under Rafa.

  • 24 AncientC // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:13 PM

I am surprised Benitez has kept Sissoko on the right of the three. He may not want to make too many tweaks in his first game… so, let them play to keep their positions.

*Imagine the firestorm from the sidelines if Sissoko stalls the ball and Janmaat goes for the overlap*

  • 25 sparky55 // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:14 PM

formation not important…it’s about playing with belief and as a team…we need to avoid letting in an early goal otherwise our shrinking violets will do what they do best.

  • 26 Jail for Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:14 PM

    No wonder Real sacked him.:o

  • 27 SA Toon // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:14 PM

Come on, let’s get behind the team and see what happens. It’s a huge ask for Rafa to do anything in just a few days, but it’s all about belief and confidence.

  • 28 manxpie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:15 PM

Well if colback gets an early yellow he should be hooked straight away don’t fancy him staying on long against mahrez on a yellow

  • 29 Grafton83 // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:15 PM

Formations and tactics are two completely different things, just watch and see, this will be great, we’ll have chances to win this one I reckon. In Rafa we trust, common toons!

  • 30 toonheroes // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:16 PM

ok lets go. What team did everyone expect. Anita and Shelvey could be a good partnership in midfield. Perez and Mitro is also good. Didn’t see that so often with McLaren. If we don’t lose by more than 2 goals and play with some heart then that’s not a bad start

  • 31 WWSBRD // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:17 PM

Come on Rafa son lets get the club off the deck early doors eh

  • 32 NUFCPaul // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:18 PM

Ed – the familiar 4-3-3-1 formation? Nope, not familiar with that one at all. Basic maths not a requirement at IBM it would seem!

  • 33 Jail for Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:18 PM

    Sparky,
Exactly, we’ve gone from just making up the numbers to a club with a purpose, I just hope the players grasp that and make sure we’re still in the PL to see it all through.

Best he can do I suppose.

    Dreading colback at LB.

Mind, I’d be dreading dummett at LB too so….doesn’t really matter lol.

Didn’t realise that our only fit defender for the bench is sterry.

    Wow, that’s pathetic.

Colback played left back for the Makems, I know for us it should be left back in the changing rooms, but at least he has an idea of what that position is all about.

Will be tough for him tonight up against Mahrez, so I hope he and the rest of the team keep their cool and concentration.

  • 47 toonking // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:27 PM

A good line up he sort of thing i’d have said myself. The key will be how well does jam and sisoko do on the right. anita and the CBs will be all piling up around marez knowing he’s the most threatening player with short passes so it’s up to sissoko and jam to ensure vardy doesn’t get the time for his attempts

I don’t have much hope because our back 4 are an extremely weak group.

    0-2

  • 55 Hail Wor Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:30 PM

Leicester are our worst nightmare. Aggressive, relentless pressing and pace in behind. Remember the match at St James against them, we simply couldn’t cope with the intensity, was like a seniors team against some rabid teenagers – shock and awe at the energy.

Can’t expect miracles from Rafa after 3 days. Only hoping somehow the lift he’s given the fans has also happened to the players and we can match their verve!

  • 56 Blackley and Brownlie // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:30 PM

When you look at that defence, it’s absolutely negligent that it’s all we’ve got. Diabolical. Heads must roll.

  • 64 Sir Braveheart // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:34 PM

442 doesn’t look too bad on paper. Mitrovic to hold the ball up with Wijnaldum running on as support. Perez’s energy and work rate to track back and help cover Mahrez. I can see us sitting quite deep, two banks of 4 and using pace to try and break. Leicester use a lot of width so four in midfield works for what we have.

Can see Doumbia coming on for Mitro second half, SDJ when Wijnaldum is having another away day shocker, and Townsend once Perez has run himself into the ground.

Still going for 2-0 Leicester unfortunately.

  • 65 YouCouldn'tMakeItUp // Mar 14, 2016 at 7:35 PM

    Hail

With mitro on, i doubt he will be the most advanced. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in a “false 9” position, but i think at best he will be feeding off mitro in a slightly withdrawn role

Fair point although have to agree if thats all we have someone needs flogging.
Think I would’ve risked townsend at left back come to think of it. Yes he’s a winger but his pace would help out a great deal at the back. Suppose he may not be fully fit like and wants to stay fit for the Derby. The qe2 turns quicker than colback!

FFS Janmaat, was never on. Gini and Sissoko should have made more of that beforehand on the LW – lack of confidence to take it to them throughout.

Anita used to look assured in possession, passed decisively and accurate, you could tell he was the product of Ajax academy, now he looks a shadow and is shite scared of the ball whenever he gets it and just wants rid of it asap.

  • 198 manxpie // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:41 PM

  • 199 toonking // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:42 PM

sissoko and perez should be our main front men tonight because we need that speed in the front line to allow more men to remain back.

too many men forward and we’ll risk a very simple second conced.

  • 200 JackButler // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:43 PM

  • 201 LGFUAD21 // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:43 PM

    I’d keep mitro on.

The issue isn’t mitro’ slack of pace. It’s that our wingers and Gini aren’t complimenting him.

If mitro has the ball they need to be running off him.

It’s something my dad pointed out to me during the west brom game. Our attackers never make runs.

This long Ba,l isn’t the way to beat Leicester though.

  • 207 LGFUAD21 // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:45 PM

It’s intersting as well that Gini is our most fluid player.

At psv it was his team mates that cd id most of the movement. He was a pivot for a lot of them.

He looks after the ball fairly well and is pretty nifty in tight spaces but he struggles when his team mates aren’t giving him options.

If you watch him careful he often makes some clever runs but his team mates never pick up on it.

I can’t really have a go at the team only Taylor.

This guy has been a walking liability at our club for over a decade. The sooner he’s gone the better.

They hadn’t had a sniff until his great flick on for them.

  • 217 AncientC // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:48 PM

Sissoko off at half-time? He has played on the right, the left… getting no joy either side. The job for Benitez starts now.

  • 218 Hail Wor Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:48 PM

Perez and Doumbia should be partnered as a 2, but won’t happen because Rafa doesn’t deploy a front 2. Mitro isn’t doing enough as usual. Same could be said for most though.

Sissoko surprisingly our best player and the one who most looks like he’s got a boost from Rafa. The rest still as flat as always.

Perez is a poacher and the sooner that’s realised the better. Certainly not a winger, wide forward or any other title that denotes a wide player.

  • 219 JP...from The Rock // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:48 PM

So sick of hearing..”his first goal…” against us! Happens everytime. We haven’t done too badly. That was a sucker punch from a very soft free kick. We were unfortunate that after clearing the ball it fell right on their striker.

  • 220 LGFUAD21 // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:48 PM

    Jb

    True.

That’s long been a flaw of ours though.

Our players can either only get forward or only stay back. Good wide men will do both.

You’d expect sissoko with his athleticism to be a aching on the wings.

  • 221 Edd Case // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:49 PM

    All about basics…

Can they not just string a few passes together?
Do they communicate on the pitch?]

Aimless long balls, shots…getting in each others way…

Sadly, not seeing the ‘Rafa effect’ yet…

Think we were always going to lose this but I was desperate to see something ‘new’…

Saddest thing for me is we are surely down and Rafa will be off – and it’ll have proved what nearly all of us said, SM should have gone ages ago.

Charnley might have been smiling when he brought Rafa out for the cameras but come the end of the season…i’m not so sure he will be…

  • 224 Toonfan8 // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:50 PM

Townsend on and Anita off for me…put Sissoko to CM next to Shelvey and Townsend on the LW…we are loosing easy balls, it is about confidence…we should put Townsend on to test Simpson…

  • 225 Oleg G // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:51 PM

I think all in all this was not a bad half.
It is Leicester, the best team in the PL this season.
And the goal they’ve scored was a really high quality personal skill and flair type of goal.

Except that, we are playing ok.

Benitez had only what? 3 days? Not even that.

We don’t have enough players to choose from.
    The defense is so thin.
    No Colo and no Mbemba.
    Colo in defense.
    Not simple.

I think we can expect a better second half.

Mitrovic couldn’t even see the run of Gini into the OPEN box.

Cannot even pick out passes when Gini is FREE

Selfish -when Sissoko is in a much better position to take the ball down and finish it off he did not have the sense to offer it to his teammates.

Rafa Coaches will point it out to him through Video Replays. This guy need coaching.

Sissoko has to be the laziest player. He thinks he is Messi. But we are so shit he probably desreves his place. Maybe???? How many goals this season for the biggest ego in the Premiership?

  • 243 manxpie // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:55 PM

bloody hell offside as well no luck

  • 244 SPRINGY // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:55 PM

fairly decent half considering and to be honest only a lovely bit skill has unlocked us…few points tho…..gini,anita and janmaat giving the ball away far to easy under no pressure…mitro struggling with the strength of hugh and morgan but has done ok with nice touches and layoffs……..got say daft fouls around the box again has put us in the shite…got to stop making stupid fouls, thats not just colback..all of them…..other then that cant knock the work rate or commitment.

  • 245 Spacepyramids // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:55 PM

Better, but we look slow, unsure and a bit ponderous. Understandable if trying hard to play like a proper football team for the first time in a while 🙂

  • 246 firebug666 // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:55 PM

So Vardy WAS offside leading to their goal, I thought so.

  • 247 mindcompressor // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:57 PM

I would put de jong for shelvey and townsend for sissoko. Switch gini with perez. Lucky goal for foxes, shouldnt even be freekick. I cannot expect dominate team which has over 30 points than us. However pass accuracy is terriblr.

  • 248 Oleg G // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:58 PM

Benitez asked fans to be positive.

And I see that people are really trying……..

Not really. The negativity here is just too much.

  • 249 JackButler // Mar 14, 2016 at 8:59 PM

given our lack of confidence and recent so called performances, we’ve done better than I thought, but someone, anyone needs to stand up and take control of the ball as we are rushing everything and giving the ball away almost every time

  • 250 davis_toons // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:00 PM

We are more balance as a team…but i thought we should have waste more time on the ball.

WASTE MORE TIME. Playing badly is our game for now…but too late…we have to chase the equaliser now.

  • 251 SPRINGY // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:00 PM

koeman and carragher were right before the game, they thought rafa would tell them to play long to try and nullify the leicester midfield coz loosing the ball there puts the back four under pressure straight away.

  • 252 Hail Wor Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:00 PM

    Rotonda

I mean when the ball is in flight like for the goal. Even when he backs off if he realises the trigger is gonna be pulled he runs at the ball to block it. Not a very smart defensive strategy! When Mahrez cut inside and struck it quite powerfully early on he got in the way and headed it when other players would leave it for the keeper, suppose it’s that dafty or captain Colo turning sideways and flinching. What a bunch we have.

Anyway, we can all agree we need at least 2 new CBs should we survive.

  • 253 Mister Tuff // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:00 PM

No outlet for the ball Mitro cannot hold it up -it’s coming straight back at us.
If we do not rectify this we’ll never score.
Time date now -game is lost – therefore worth another striker gamble at half time.

  • 254 Blackley and Brownlie // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:01 PM

One of the few times the camera picked out Rafa he was scribbling furiously. It would be interesting to know whether he was doing dot to dot or the Times crossword.

  • 255 AncientC // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:02 PM

I wouldn’t say Sissoko is lazy; his vision is appalling… how many times does he wait for an overlap or play a poor through-ball.

We have a box-to-box midfielder, converted by Pardew into a poor man’s George Weah.

Sorry lads and having a go at no one in particular bit I’m reading some serious shite on here.
Our players are the same and we’re playing away to the runaway league leaders 1-0 down to an excellent bit of skill with that scissor kick.
Reality check please. What did anyone expect from the game. A point would be a big bonus given current form.
I think all things considered they’re playing better with better shape and organisation.
Cheer the team, look for the positives. Against lesser opposition I think we’ll do very well. They look interested for once.

  • 374 gorgonzola ( former Pecorino former to gorgonzola) // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:54 PM

I think the pressure is too great to be honest. We have a club full of non world beaters. Slight pressure they buckle…I cannot believe players are not able to pass the ball into the running path of the player, ball is always behind the player.

Losing momentum all the time. I would bench Sissoko. He was atrocious. He cannot pass the ball he needs to train every day. If I was Rafa tom training. Learn to pass the ball under pressure.

I have no idea who to start against the unwashed. Mitro a non starter.
I would do Doumbia and Perez. I must say Perez has def faded away this season had high hopes for him.

What is going on with Mbabu? Why isn’t he playing?

  • 375 lochinvar // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:54 PM

That perhaps should have been a goalless draw – don’t think there was anything special from either side ( except an overhead strike ) except they had more tempo – we’re going to need that on Sunday

2 defining moments. colback’s stupid free kick and sissoko’s indecision when clear through, other than that very little between the teams, if anything I think we were marginally the better team

  • 379 firebug666 // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:55 PM

I say we were better than we have been away from home, we played the top team and suffered 1-0 defeat, but hey all is not lost, I never expected a win in this game just a different Newcastle, and I think we got that. Yes we still give the ball away to much, but we defended better, yes Sissoko can’t keep the ball for toffee or make a pass but he can be dropped.

Overall I thought we were better than the usual, Benitez and his staff now have till Sunday to improve this team, and I (maybe in a minority) think they will.

  • 380 jimiley // Mar 14, 2016 at 9:55 PM

Defensively we were much better. Their goalie hardly made a save. Much better but we cannot score. We will go down. Our forwards are shit. A manager cannot make shit forwards into good ones.

Players who did positive things, Wini, Town, Jan, Perez.
Sissoko was 50/50. Did some positive and did some negatives. I like-hate him.

    Shelvey was very defensive today.
    Mitro didn’t do anything good.
After Towns came on, Colback did some good things with Perez oon the left.

De Jong…. well, not enough time.
    Doumbia, no time at all.

Very good sun after 55 mins. Changed the tempo and our approach.

We can win next week. WE CAN!

That’s why folk are crying out for Doumbia, he’s the only unknown quantity we have in the ST department and Perez seems to be condemned to deeper roles for whatever reason, probably like Jonas a victim of his own work ethic. Mitro is bone fide shite and nobody will tell me otherwise. Some STs live off the odd goal that can be pointed to in their favour, he knocks it down well once in 90 mins and that seems to be enough for some fans to continue backing the incredible sulk.

  • 402 LGFUAD21 // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:06 PM

    To be fair.

    Before benitez I expected a 3-0 hammering.

Leicester are a good team that has torn teams apart and we frustrated them. Bodes well.

I think Colback did very well. He contained mahrez.

I think Mbemba and lascelles should be cb partners.

Sissoko only turned up for 5′ mins in the second half.

    Townsend looked unfit.

    And Janmaat was poor.

  • 406 Hail Wor Ashley // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:07 PM

    Gorgon

He had a chance in the last 10, but his lack of awareness that he was in fact central inside the box, no defender within 5-yards of him, made him lay it off to SDJ instead. As I said above as it happened, give a proper goal-getter that scenario 100 times and there’s no way they’re not taking a touch on the turn and getting their shot away 100/100 times.

  • 407 davetoon // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:08 PM

You want to talk about facts, that says enough for me. This is the same Leicester who beat Liverpool 2-0 and Manchester City 3-1, and we limited them to one real chance.

Improvement all over the field. Now he has a week to show them where they’re going wrong and to make some adjustments.

  • 434 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:28 PM

    well well
I don’t know what to think.

We did OK but never looked like scoring against a poor Leicester side tonight. Sadly lack confidence in front of goal – frightened to shoot

we huffed and puffed without looking like we would score. Cannot see another goal coming unless it comes of someones backside.

Still saying that we were a tad unlucky noy to pick up a point

Their goal Vardy offside when heading ball back across – but that bloody idiot Colback gave a pointless stupid free kick away that led to the goal.

Should of had a penalty deliberate arm to the ball from sissoko shot.

Both decisions we have got to learn to be more vocal and complain about the incident.

Elliot – 7 did OK might of been able to come for the header from Vardy that led to their goal.

Colback – 1 for the stupid foul that led to the goal.
Lasclles – 7 going to be a good player with experience
Taylor – 3 backed off to much and let Leicester run at him – distribution poor.
Janmaat – 6 did OK defending – didn’t see him as much going forward

Sissoko – 4 and thats for the last 15 minutes
Wiljanum – 6 started well but faded
Anita – 7 did well but tired
Shelvey – 5 thought he was poor another that did not come alive until near the end – did n’t pick up their runners.

Perez – 6 drifted in and out the game to much
Mitrovich – 5 Oh I would like to see him head the ball, close control poor tonight.

subs Townsend ok but did not look fit
    as with de Jong
Doumbia – not on long enough

  • 435 DENIro // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:30 PM

  • 436 Sir Braveheart // Mar 14, 2016 at 10:30 PM

We need goals from somewhere. Honestly am I the only one thinking Cisse is our best bet if he is fit? God that’s depressing, but maybe Rafa can get something out of him?

Wijnaldum needs to chip in a couple, or perhaps Perez up front with SDJ? Doumbia isn’t doing enough in training to justify a starting spot or more than 5 minutes at the end so let’s assume he isn’t the saviour we need.

Anyway, I’m still pretty positive. I predicted 2-0 loss and it was only half as bad so I’ll take that. It’s the 5 games against the teams around us that will determine our season now.

Recently-appointed Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that there “were a lot of positives” to take from tonight’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City.

The result has left Benitez’s men 19th in the Premier League with just nine matches left to play.

However, despite the negativity, the new boss has been filled with confidence with what he saw from his team this evening.

“I thought that we could get a result and I was convinced we could do it,” he told Sky Sports News.

“I will take the positives. We did well, you could see the commitment and the passion.

“There were a lot of positives and the team showed that they are convinced they can win. Every game will be important for us.”

Next up for the Magpies is a local derby against Sunderland at St James’ Park.

Oh I have no doubt that the ref was bias against us, this season that has been a given I think, Mahrez bought foul after foul, when hardly touched, cheating is a big part of the premier league though few have the ball to admit it.

If you play an honest game you will lose to cheats, and we did tonight.

In my honest opinion I believe refs are given a game plan too, let’s face it they cannot all be blind, but we never get any decisions.

Leicester deserved their win tonight because they were the better cheats (with help from the ref).

Being Newcastle at the moment we will be given nothing, not even a 50 – 50 chance, it is a cross we have to bear.

I’m gonna stop now cos I had a bit to drink.

But don’t expect anything from the refs, they already have us relegated.
