Benitez – This Player Has Everything – He´s Been Fantastic

6:51 am, Saturday, March 26th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 6 Comments

Rafa Benitez has said he thinks that Moussa Sissoko, not always the most popular player with the fans, has everything including potential and quality and certainly the new manager seems to think it will take very little  to make Moussa into a top player at Newcastle.

Certainly since Rafa arrived Moussa seems a little stunned that he is now training with one of the best managers in the world and his work rate in the last two games has been good.

Moussa has always talked about being part of a bigger club then Newcastle and one that plays in the Champions League.

But the Frenchman can see that if we survive this season, maybe the last thing he will want to do is to leave Newcastle with Rafa being good enough to deliver some great things in the future at the famous Tyneside club  – if only we can avoid relegation.

Rafa says when he first arrived he talked to the big man and Moussa was very positive.

This is what the Newcastle manager has said about Moussa in the Chronicle today:

“I was talking with him right at the beginning and he was very positive. He was very clear. In terms of his work-rate on the pitch he’s been fantastic.”

“If he carries on doing this he’ll be better. He has everything: potential and quality.”

“He has a lot of things it’s just being sure he will put things onto the pitch. You saw in the last game he was running and passing players, he still has to improve things.”

Moussa is just one of the Newcastle star players who have not produced for us this season and if the 26 year-old can start playing somewhere near his best form for the team – we may even have a chance of surviving this season.

If we can do that then the future for Moussa and for Newcastle United will look very bright indeed.

That´s a fact.

Benitez obviously been hitting the wine this Easter! I’d love to see the Sissoko that turns up 1% of the time put a proper effort in.

    Here we go…

    Sissoko on the left wing?

Trouble with Sissoko is his decision making, and his touch of an elephant, come to think of it, his passing has been woeful…..but all things that can be worked on.
If there are more people in the box , there will be less defenders to crowd him out, more chance of his cross getting to one of a few in the box rather than the one striker surrounded by numerous defenders.
I know his work rate and heart have been missing ,but , surely Rafa can get the best out of most of the team and therefore get them working together, it’s the only way we can survive this mess.
IMHO,we have better players than Norwich and Scumberland ( other than possibly Defoe and Kirchof ), we just need a tactician to get the best of them and our better players coming back from injury.
Team cohesiveness and structure will get us points, clean sheets and a threat up front will get us the wins we need….I believe every team can beat every team in the premier league this season and im hoping we can start winning our share of games ….starting with clipping the canaries wings

    …6 paragraphs later:

Sissoko needs to play better, the end.

Problem is, Sissoko plays best in the same position as Wijnaldum and De Jong.

He is not a winger, and he is going to jump ship as soon as a offer comes in with a more successful club.

I honestly believe we would be better off if he was replaced for a proper right winger of the same value. One who has an end product with quality passing and crossing, and can keep possession better
