I hope we learned the lesson against the scums, dont hoot ball and play the game 50/50 like parduu, go all inn for a lucky break!! We need to take care of the ball, build the attacks slowly and finish our chanses. My team for Norwich will be lile this : goalkeeper – daryl – colo – saylor – mbemba- towsend – shelwey – tiote – winjaldum and our striker mitro with siem de jong. Subs: sissoko for winjaldum after 60, same Papis for Mitro 60. And use Perez, for towsend after 70 min.

I see buster bloodvessel is getting pumped up for the match 🙂

  • 7 Tsunki // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:15 PM

Funny isn’t it, this is the time of year when the long term injured at other clubs make comebacks but we just seem to lose players every other week until we end the season playing the last dozen games with the bar lasses and the program sellers. What a setup.

  • 8 WWSBRD // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:28 PM

    We have to win

  • 9 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:32 PM

    Heres on to ponder on
If this country votes to leave the EU what would/will happen to the EU players and their work permits who have not played enough games for their Country to qualify ????????.
Also bringing in players like Perez ?????

  • 10 Jib // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:35 PM

    lo haremos

  • 11 Jib // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:38 PM

It has been said already nothing will be retrospective – pretty much status quo.

However in the future it will probably spell the death knell of the EPL as we know it.

  • 12 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:42 PM

Blade user……. You have an intellect rivalled only by garden tools.

  • 13 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:48 PM

Could spell a load of trouble in the future for the clubs that depend on TV money for their revenues as I can see the TV companies reducing their payments drastically.

  • 14 Tsunki // Mar 31, 2016 at 6:58 PM

Leaving the EU is a strange one, but like skydiving, you won’t know how good you are at it, by which time it’s a bit too late to go back.

No reason why reciprocal arrangements and mutually beneficial visa and work permit agreements made to soften the blow of the divorce. I’m sure it would work out ok. Nobody will want to lose out.

  • 15 Essex Geordie Bill // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:06 PM

Perhaps we will then see clubs with the better supporters base becoming the top clubs.

Not that that hes worked out for us.

But it will probably be the end of your Bournemouthe’s being able to compete on an equal basis.

I personally doubt that much will change and I reckon the threat is just more scaremongering by the ‘leave cabal’

  • 16 Thump // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:19 PM

I was going to say a sneaky 2-1 win to Norwich, but now that Owen thinks we’re going to draw, the win is written in the stars.

  • 17 Jib // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:21 PM

    I have really sharp secateurs

  • 18 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:29 PM

The scaremongering has started re EU footballers in the event of Brexit! They will just negotiate a deal, as they need us more than we need them as with all exports and imports to Europe.

  • 19 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:30 PM

This weekend we will be celebrating Rafa’s first win! Howay the Lads

  • 20 Essex Geordie Bill // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:34 PM

I meant to say by the stay cabal not the leave sensible people.

  • 21 Essex Geordie Bill // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:38 PM

Not just a win but a thrashing of Norwich but a massive swing in the GD column to our advantage.

A clean sheet for Super Dariolow.

  • 22 martoon // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:43 PM

bladeuser @3 – I presume by ‘sheep’ you are referring to us fans that attend matches, buy season tickets etc. If it wasn’t for the ‘sheep’ you wouldn’t have a team to watch on your dodgy streams!

  • 23 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:43 PM

Any Disturbed fans on here, if there is, anyone like the song sound of silence, awesome song.

    old Simon and Garfunkel song.

  • 24 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:45 PM

3-0 to Newcastle, mitrovic 2, gini.

  • 25 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:45 PM

Very quiet on here this evening, Wakey Wakey everyone.

  • 27 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:46 PM

Welshie……. Better you save your breath for blowing up your date later.

  • 28 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:49 PM

    What date.

  • 29 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:51 PM

Martin…… I think when he said sheep he was referring to Welshie and his mob.

  • 30 AncientC // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:52 PM

It may be time for the side to add some more theatrics their game. When was the last time we had a penalty?

At this emergency stage, it is time to start playing dirty. Hassle key players, simulation from challenges, push the ball forward extra yards for free kicks when the refs back is turned, influence or intimidate the ref… the whole shebang.

It worked well enough for Man Utd over the years.

  • 31 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:52 PM

    Your girlfriend, daft boy. Lol.

  • 32 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:53 PM

    Marti was martoon.

  • 33 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:59 PM

Sorry, i was miles away, besides people keep mentioning sheep no matter which way they say it can kiss my …………

  • 34 Lee Charnley Bunga Party // Mar 31, 2016 at 7:59 PM

    @Ancient C

I think we will play to win under Benitez he is good with the dark arts like Fergie and Jose !

Look forward to us doing the dirty stuff to other teams for a change !!

  • 35 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:05 PM

    Essex / Welsh
I have a feeling we’ll all be lifted out of depression this Saturday afternoon. Sound of Silence; I bought the album on vinyl in the 70’s; Do you know the album name? Don’t google it!

  • 36 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:16 PM

Some of us are old enough to remember the UK pre EU and I can assure you there’s nothing uncertain about coming out except a more prosperous UK .
We had a referendum to go in and we did not vote for a government in Brussels; we were just told the food would be cheaper!
    Out !

  • 37 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:23 PM

Welshie……. Stay focused when you’re with her mind. Just remember there’s a fine line between cuddling and holding her down so she can’t get away.

  • 38 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:27 PM

Have you heard disturbeds version, one of the best bands ever.

  • 39 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:48 PM

I hadn’t, but have now! Brilliant version; thanks I must get more of their stuff!

  • 40 Essex Geordie Bill // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:50 PM

    Ancient 30 Agree1

Moonraker 36 Agree, by the way it is cheaper, for the French!!

Not “The best of The Beetles”

Seriously I know It’s Simon and Garfunkle bur I never remember that sort of stuff even when I had a Memory.

  • 41 Munster Mag // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:52 PM

Getting more optimistic, God knows why…..Rafa I guess…but not if he continues with Sissoko on left…2-1 to the Mags, but I think 2-2 is a more logical guess.

  • 42 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:54 PM

Gonna download an album on iTunes can you recommend an album of Disturbed?

  • 43 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 8:55 PM

    I guess ‘Immortalized’ ?

  • 44 Essex Geordie Bill // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:00 PM

Just watched it on youtube in the words of my Missus bl**dy brilliant.

    Must get the album.

  • 45 bettyswallocks // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:01 PM

Welsh…….. Have you heard , ” The hills are alive”. I can’t remember who did it now.

  • 46 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:02 PM

Bridge over Troubled Waters by Simon and Garfunkle – very appropriate Tyne bridge haha

  • 47 Lanzatoon42 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:06 PM

Rafa the gaffa will get us 3 points, he knows what he is doing!!! Don’t care how we do it as long we get the 3 POINTS

  • 48 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:11 PM

I was mistaken; sound of silence was on the best of….., album by Simon and Garfunkle! Memory shot away!

  • 49 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:15 PM

A win this week kickstarts our season and in a few weeks we’ll all be talking about champions league qualification next season in Rafa’s revolution ! Lol

  • 50 Moonraker15 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:17 PM

Rafa is on £2 million to keep us up and he doesn’t want a relegation on his cv, so my money’s on him !

  • 51 21st Century Schizoid Man // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:34 PM

The ‘Sound of Silence’ single was a cover version done by the Bachelors – an Irish trio but written by Paul Simon.
It’s not on the Bridge over Troubled Water album though… Hope the Wear is more troubled than the Tyne this weekend.

  • 52 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:37 PM

Immortalised, is they newish album, the one you should get is called 10 thousand fists in the air, best album in my opinion.

my mate got me in to disturbed a few years ago, he knows his music, he had a good song when he went cage fighting.

  • 55 welshgeordie9 // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:44 PM

He given up a few years ago, his right knee totally knackered.

  • 56 martoon // Mar 31, 2016 at 9:49 PM

Talking of Simon & Garfunkle try checking out a track of theirs called 7 O’clock News / Silent Night – very poignant!

  • 57 martoon // Mar 31, 2016 at 10:22 PM

Hey it’s a sad track but no need to kill the blog over it 🙂

  • 58 Graeme // Mar 31, 2016 at 10:24 PM

Some positive news for a change!!

Hopefully he will step up and make the position his own!!!

  • 59 Offkey // Mar 31, 2016 at 10:32 PM

Football is the least of the worries if we leave the eu. The only certainty about leaving the eu is that we are gambling with our future. A gamble being made by people who are likely to be not well informed. Then once we are out, we rely on our great politicians to get us a good deal with…….europe……lol, Cameron has done a great job in Europe thus far in terms of his reforming the eu…..

  • 60 21st Century Schizoid Man // Mar 31, 2016 at 10:36 PM

FFS stop making political comments on this blog.
It has nothing to do with our next 8 games.

  • 61 Offkey // Mar 31, 2016 at 10:42 PM

Whatever, i find you a bore also.

  • 62 lesh // Apr 1, 2016 at 12:05 AM

Can we really win at Norwich?

It’s Norwich City we’re playing not Barcefreekinglona!

  • 63 U.S Magpie // Apr 1, 2016 at 12:54 AM

Ok Fans young and some older than most, here’s the thing for me. I don’t care how many we lose or win as long as we stay up. Be it by the skin of our teeth I don’t bloody care.
All I want is Rafa next season to shake this club up and then with a decent manager at the helm let Newcastle be what Newcastle should be, a great club with amazing fans.
I want teams once again to feel that shitty feeling in there stomachs when they know they have to come and play us at St James. Remember the days Toon Army Remember them days. I do and I loved every minute of it with fans from other teams saying to me shit we play you guys next week we screwed. That’s what I need from the club, Rafa getting us back to that. Magpie through and through!!.

  • 64 lochinvar // Apr 1, 2016 at 7:50 AM

“Well Mike how do you feel about mismanagement and missed opportunities ” ?
Starsport understands talks are at an advanced stage with the prospective new owners of Liverpool hoping to offer boss Jurgen Klopp a huge transfer war-chest this summer.

Liverpool are valued at around £650m and are currently owned by American sports investment company, the Fenway Sports Group.
FSG bought Liverpool for £300m in October 2010 but since then their value has soared.
Last year American business magazine Forbes ranked the Reds as the eighth most valuable football club in the world.

The leap in value is down to a combination of the record-breaking new £5.136bn Premier League TV deal, which kicks in next season, and the club’s increased commercial activities.

Well thats it then…down we go….please stay with us Rafa and help us build a new Kingdom from scratch!? As the great Ronnie Corbett used to say….. It’s goodnight from him
