Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Devastating Defeat To Norwich?

2:01 am, Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 2 Comments

Newcastle suffered a devastating 3-2 defeat at Carrow Road yesterday in what could turn out to be a pivotal result in our season, because it leaves us 6 points behind Norwich and safety with just seven games to play and that was our fifth defeat in the last six games.

It was also our 8th successive defeat on the road and unless we can start winning games very soon, we are destined for the Championship next season and will miss out on the £150M payout from the new TV rights deal next year.

Substitute Mitrovic came off the bench and equalized twice in the second half before Olsson scored a dramatic winner three minutes into stoppage time for Newcastle’s 18th defeat this season in 31 league games – the most defeats of any Premier League side other than Aston Villa.

And we have now conceded a massive 58 goals – the most of any club other than Villa.

Maybe we should have spent more of the £82M  on new defenders in the summer and in the January transfer window?

Newcastle have been completely mismanaged by Lee Charnley, Mike Ashley and company this season – it’s tragic.
