Rafa Benitez About To Make First Signing For Newcastle

It looks like Rafa Benitez is moving in with what could be his first signing for Newcastle United and it’s young 16 year-old Spanish playmaker Luis Vacas.

There are various reports in Spain that Luis Vacas is now on Tyneside and having a trial at the club and training at Benton, with a decision to be made by the club at the end of his trial period.

The report indicates the 16 year-old youngster has impressed Newcastle scouts, so it’s not completely clear if the recommendation came directly from the Newcastle manager.

Vacas is currently on the books of Spanish league side Seneca CF, and the 16 year-old is said to be impressing during his trial on Tyneside.

Spanish outlet Cordoba Deporte is reporting Vacas could become Benitez’s first signing, if the teenager continues to impress.

If Rafa does stay at Newcastle, it is likely that more Spanish players will come to Tyneside because he brought in a number of good Spanish players during his six years at Liverpool.

He brought in both senior players and youth players to Merseyside – the senior players including Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina.

We wonder if this means that Rafa is still thinking long-term as the manager of Newcastle, even if we are relegated.

Maybe not.

We cannot find too much information on Luis Vacas.

The player Seneca CF Luis Vacas is this week in Newcastle making several training with the English club, one of the best known of England and now in Spain a few weeks ago by the signing of Spanish coach, former Real Madrid, Rafa Benitez.

The player is in principle in the last stage to sign for the club in the Premier after being followed with positive reports from scouts of the British club, but it depends on their evolution in this period, which will end early next week. Cows is a talented playmaker 16, who last year played in the Andalusian Cadete and this season started in the Second Youth Andaluza. But Isaac conditions Cuesta saw him and made his debut with the team Honor Division, with which he has regularly participated.

We must wait to see if the signing is effective and Luis becomes one of the many talents the Seneca exports each summer outside the borders of the province and sometimes, as in this case, national.
