Southampton 3 Newcastle 1 – Video Highlights

5:57 pm, Saturday, April 9th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 6 Comments

If Newcastle fans were thinking we can survive this season it;’s going to be very difficult with one of the most gutless displays we have seen from a Newcastle side for a long time.

Most of these players don’t have the courage, fight or pride to wear the Newcastle shirt and we are now worried what could happen next season if we finish off this season with these types of performances.

The scoreline of 3-1 in no way shows the complete superiority of this Southampton side.

Here are the lowlights of this game from a Newcastle viewpoint.

Culture killed the club, the minute it was acceptable to drop out of cups, aspire to be good enough just to survive and at all cost avoid europe was when were doomed to fail.

Sportsmen are supposed to be competitive, winning is winning, you do anything and everything to beat your opponent, all that went out the window when we were booking holidays in advance of cup exits.

I’m going on record now and saying we’ll most likely only get a mid table finish next year in championship. If they couldn’t find motivation in this league then they won’t in 2nd tier.

it was truly sickening when they held their hands up and admitted that premier league survival was the only true goal.

we’ve become a team who didn’t want to win too many games in a row cause we must avoid Europe just like we avoid relegation, destined to survival not thrive, this club was dead the moment Ashley took over, we don’t deserve to be in the prem and doubt we’ll return any time soon, such a sad state of affairs.

Another inept display on the way to the Championship. Can really be bothered to get heated – just loving the fact the the wheels finally come off the FatMans wagon. Spent big this season but to little too late. We al knew we needed a CB and LB – instead we get more midfielders and forward who cant even get in the sqaud. Fatties blown £85M on transfers and lost £100M in TV money, ShiteDirect going down the pan, MP’s after answers, Guitierez doing a KK in the courts etc etc – so as a fan “Im Luving it”.

The rot set in when Ashley bought us. After that it’s been excuses, lies, mismanagement, lackeys, more lies. The escape last season was probably a bad thing because it allowed Ashley to keep the same group of lackeys on, spend 80M and then get us relegated. He has to go or this will only be the beginning. We could end up in Division 2 or 3 with him. Ashley out.
