Newcastle got their very first win for Rafa Benitez at the 5th attempt and now four points form five games looks a lot better than one point form four games.
But now the lads have to keep winning games starting at home to Manchester City on Tuesday night when hopefully there will be a sell-our crowd there to roar on our players.
Howay The Lads!!
Andros Townsend scores third goal after 89 minutes for Newcastle United

Comment #6I know it sounds horrible but for fat sam to have a full squad to pick from…..surely one of them Defoe, Manone, Kirscwhoever could pick up a groin injury it training – or all of them.
Mind you other than the serious crocks I still think half our players are feigning injury. #bottlers

Comment #9I would buy a round for the whole squad today but I think cisse is not a great asset for what we need since he doesn’t affect the game much and gets offside to often. Nitro proved a better striker unfortunate only as a sub. Maybe have dejong first half and sub nitro for the win.

Comment #10Cisse was closing down players in the front, holding the ball, chasing after loose ball that’s why they are having a hard time passing from the back.
That’s forward defending.

I voted Cisse. He was effective today. Not like a wild horse running at GK trying to close down.
