Newcastle 1 Manchester City 1 – Video Of Goals

vurnon anita man city

Vurnon Anita mobbed after scoring

Here are the two goals at St. James’ Park in the 1-1 draw and Newcastle again put on a good show and Sergio Aguero’s first goal was clearly offside from a left wing free kick – so why did the linesman not flag?

It wasn’t even close.

The officiating in the Premier league is simply not good enough – the sooner they put in place some quick video replays the better – this is ridiculous.

Vurnon Anita scored a great equalizer after 31 minutes as he cut in from the right went inside and hit the ball home with he left foot.

Here’s the two goals.

Newcastle will think they should have had the win tonight – but all is not lost if we can continue this form in the final four games.

Karl Darlow had a good game for Newcastle and the 24 year-old again did well in such a white hot atmosphere.

Big performance from the back four especially Anita, Tiote imo is the big difference in front of our defence, glad Rafa resisted the urge to change him for shelvey. Sissoko immensely frustrating, blew hot and cold but better usual. Wijnaldum should have passed to mitrovic standing clear on the spot. Perez ran himself ragged, he’s not brilliant but he doesn’t half cover ground

I am going to have to disagree on Sissoko I thought he was great, he was trying things and putting effort in

look agueros foot hits the back of mbembas CALF when his foot is already planted
aguero could easily have stayed on his feet and probably scored
    its never a penalty

Agreed mate, begs the question why we wasted so much money on Shelvey and shows why Swansea fans were happy to get rid of him.

Sissoko looked better centrally though, even colback was very good. Hopefully Janmaat is out for the season, Anita showing how a rb should play

Wijnaldum was a shot on target. Hart did well.

Cheick and Colback are the difference. Anita will always give u a whole hearted display. Lets go to the Kop get a win.

My God we are so organized Lasceles and Mbemba very good partnership.

i just hope spurs cant win the league by the time they come here cos if we need to win to stay up and spurs need to win to win the league then the quality spurs have will too much for us…we need a deflated and beaten spurs on the last day of the season

He only connected with his leg because mbemba attempts to win the ball initially, we’ve seen them given, but comparing it to vardys blatant dive is laughable mate

We may not get the result against Liverpool but we have to beat palace and villa to stand any chance…..then spurs at home!!

Think giving sissoko captaincy actually gives him a sense of responsibility and makes him work harder, central attacking midfield is his best position I think. Only one who I don’t think was that good today as the rest was Colback, OK he was decent and pressing city but when he got the ball it was always backwards or sideways and he has such poor vision and first touch, maybe give Shelvey a go against his former club on Saturday?

Lascelles, Anita, Tiote, Townsend and Darlow all absolutely outstanding (tiotes best game in years) sissoko was decent as well

yeah i thought sisko was already thinking of the euros and forgot that he actually had to perform!
the last 2 games i’ve actually seen him make tackles but his first touch is on par with cisse’s absolute donkey like
the armband has certainly made a difference

    Janmaat shouldn’t get another game.
The back four now picks itself…He will leave it.

He is showing his experience by playing both Cisse and Mitro in a game.

We have to keep this EFFORT up for the remaining games and hope mackems and Norwich lose

It wasnt a pen and it wasnt a dive, it was just a coming together. The ref got it spot on with ignoring it

The problem with shelvey is he stands around throwing his hands at players and directing rather than working to get back. I don’t rate colback but defensively he’s way better than “hollywood” shelvey

no its not as vardy’s was at top speed this was even more ridiculous as he could easily have gone on but left his leg in behind and instead hit the floor at top speed
it was never a penalty and a dive

we are not down yet ,
    3 poinrts v swansea
    1 point v city
    1 point v liverpool
    3 points v palace
    3 v villa
3 v spurs coz leicester have won the title,
another 14 points will be enough to keep us up
    AND raffa stays

Of course we can still do it
hahaha , come on lads, were nearly there.

we looked so much more fluent and organised without shelvey.
It did Wiji the world of good to be benched, because he looked hungry when he came on and could have (should have) sealed the win at the end.

so impressed with lascelles-mbemba partnership, and anita looked stronger than janmaat has all season at right back

Ah rigtht fair enough just assumed ur opinion mus tof been that it was a stonewall tbh. Not sure where the argues coming from then haha

Ive seen them given but it was incorrectly given in those cases tbh, in the game today the ref got it right so not sure why there is even the conversation

The key issue in the game was a blatent undeniable offside goal was given not that the ref got a pen decision correct, that linesman does not understand either his job or the rules of the game

Not even after, it was a half-hearted dive, like he realised part way through it was a crappy move and he should’ve stayed on his feet.

Haha yes looking up at the ref and then sitting in disbelief wasn’t enough for you. Normally when a player doesn’t think it’s a foul he gets up immediately…..not look at the ref, hit the floor and continue sitting!! You clearly don’t understand body language…..anyway enjoy the point mate, let’s not bicker over non event. I’ll stick by I’ve seen em given and mbemba gave the ref something to think about by attempting to win the ball. You can stick with you opinion of it was a dive and bookable offence which was very similar to vardy at the weekend

I listened on the radio and Sissoko got lots of positives from the commentators – including Shearer.

Maybe Sissoko’s lucky enough to be some fans’ favourite….. for criticism
