Twitter Explodes As Fans React To Fabulous Display

Newcastle fans reacted on Twitter to what was a terrific battling performance last night from Newcastle again st 3rd top Manchester City.

With a little but of luck Gin i Wijnaldum could have scored after 89 minutes when he did brilliantly to get his shot on goal but Joe Hart somehow blocked the shot and of course something should be done about Aguero’s goal that was over a yard offside.

But nothing will be.

We got a point and our players will gain huge confidence from that display in front of a very enthusiastic and appreciative  crowd who applauded the players off the field at the end of the game.

I don’t want to take anything away from a fantastic display and I thoroughly enjoyed watching that last night but as unlikely as it was we needed to win that last night. The pressuee on the mackems would have been huge but as it stands if they win their game in hand they’re four points clear. It’s not over and we have to keep believing but we’re clutching at straws here. Two games too late I believe.

2 more wins against Palace and Villa might, just might, be enough to save us. Another massive game against the bin dippers this weekend. Great performance from the lads last night, and its just a shame that it has taken this long for them to start showing performances like this. I just really hope that we haven’t left it too late.

    Jail for Ashley @3

Seven words in to your comment and I did not want to carry on reading!!! We have been ‘clutching at straws’ even before Rafa came in. We just need Wenger not to get sucked in.

I ran over a pigeon the other day, the cloud of feathers in the rear view mirror was spectacular but there was no corpse….Therefore no evidence, no crime.

    Re the first tweet:

I will never forgive Charnely for not taking action on mclaren after the ridiculous chelsea match. It would have been the PERFECT time to replace him- 2.5 weeks before the next game, and completely winable games against stoke and bournemouth next. we could be safe by now.
