Alan Pardew will return to Newcastle for the first time since he left suddenly in late 2014 after he had a tough year at Newcastle, but he had revived the team to 9th place in the league with 26 points from 19 games before he left.
But since he left Tyneside in the 54 league games played,m Newcastle have only 10 wins and 31 defeats and we have been struggling with relegation.
Alan will get a mixed reception on Tyneside in a game that we simply must win if we are to have any chance of avoiding relegation this season.
Alan Pardew while at Newcastle
Palace have had a really bad time of things this year in the league with 10 defeats in 16 league games and only one win – a 1-0 home win over Norwich, but they have managed three draws in their last five games.
The have reached the FA Cup final against Manchester United for the first time since 1990 – when Pardew was a winger at the club and scored that famous winner against Liverpool in the semi-final.
That was after losing 9-0 to Liverpool at Anfield the previous September in the league.
And early last year Pardew quickly saved the club from relegation with a series of wins once he arrived back at Palace – so he´s still popular at Selhurst Park.
Alan Pardew´s record at Newcastle was mediocre at best and he lost two games more than he won on Tyneside.
Pardew´s record at Newcastle was played 185 games, won 71 and lost 73 for a winning percentage of 38.4 and a losing percentage of 39.5.
Most fans think we can win this game tomorrow – we hope they are right.

Comment #4Although this won’t be popular I think an ex-toon manager should be given a little respect. For that reason I won’t boo him but I won’t applaud him either.

Comment #7About there he is! I have a feeling we will have our fill of ” Let’s just all forget about Pardew and move on” articles. 🙂
