Good News For Newcastle Before Vital Villa Game

There ls some good news being reported today in the local papers that Vurnon Anita should be fit for the vital game at Villa Park on Saturday and he should be able to line-up at right back in an unchanged defense.

Anita was taken off late in the game against Crystal Palace with a muscle problem, but that was more of a precaution than anything else – so this is good news on the injury front for Newcastle.

Vurnon Anita – looks like he´s fit for Saturday

It also looks like regular right-back Daryl Janmaat could also be available, but he would have to wear a splint on the hand that has  broken fingers after he had it out with a wall in the Southampton dressing room at half time when we were 2-0 down – and Daryl lost that altercation.

He also had a groin problem, but it seems to have cleared up nicely and he will be available for the last two games of the season.

Rafa Benitez has said Daryl has been willing to take a chance with the hand if he is required:

“He’s ready to take the risk if he has to do it with his hand.”

But we would expect Vurnon Anita to keep his place at right back for the games at Aston Villa and at home to Tottenham, and two wins in those games looks like it will see Newcastle still in the Premier League next season.

Anything less than that and it could be very dodgy – but it also depends on what Sunderland and Norwich do in their final three games.

It´s going to be very close on the last day of the season – once again.

If we do survive then we should aim high and try to win the Premier League next season and then maybe we will not be fighting against relegation for a third season running.

panic over . newcastle will beat villa on saturday 4-0 .
The game will be stopped in the 2nd half due to crowd disruption and we will be awarded the points. The only downside to this wonderful dream i had last night was that Micky Burns scored a hatrick . sh’t.

I’ve always liked Micky Burns and it’s remarkable how Rafa’s made him into a good player after being ignored by his predecessors!
