Fans Take To Twitter On News Benitez Could Stay At Newcastle

6:44 pm, Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 82 Comments

News today in the Mail that Rafa Benitez is considering staying on at Newcastle even if we are relegated.

But he wants assurances from the club on certain issues such as money being available this summer and he wants the improvements to the Benton Training grounds to begin immediately.

He has apparently already given his input on changes he wants made to the plans.

He also wants a complete overhaul of the Newcastle squad this summer.

Here’s our extensive report on what Rafa wants from Newcastle and the chances he will stay on at the club.

We really hope this news is true – but you never know.

Meanwhile Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter – here are some typical tweets.

at least this 3-5 year plan has a better chance of succeeding than the previous one…

  • 3 BlacknWhiteBarmy // May 10, 2016 at 6:59 PM

I thought the article said he was ‘considering’ – big difference and a way to stop any protests at the final game as we all get behind Ash Toon.
Cant see him staying – especially as we will have to have a fire sale so FatAsh doesn’t go without his dough – Championship is not that easy a league and we don’t exactly have a team of battlers!
Still, I can still laugh a FatAsh loosing £180M – what he does is upto him – just a shame that he has been backed by 50000 fans for sooooooo long

if rafa stays relegation wont hurt me, coz i know our future will be aswm

  • 5 Harley // May 10, 2016 at 7:21 PM

But weird that if I write a slang word for testicles it gets moderated, yet Ed prints one of the tweets with the f word in it.

  • 6 banjax // May 10, 2016 at 7:45 PM

The very reason we need to secure the services of Rafa is because he will know the players we need to draft in to get us out of the Championship and (if we are lucky) to progress in the Premiership. Rafa would probably stay at the club but his money needs as well as his demands over control of the football club might make Ashley baulk at the prospect. I’m sure Charnley et al will not figure in Benitez plans to be an active participant so he will hopefully resign along with all the other management failures leaving Rafa to get on with the job of rebuilding our club from the foundations up. You can only hope !

Don’t think he will stay but I did like the

  • 8 lesh // May 10, 2016 at 7:54 PM

The investment in the training facilities may not be a problem – if Ashley will get SD to pay for it and adopt the Citeh/ Ethiad model of dedicating part of it to the community. Ok, it may mean having SD all over it but what the hell if it helps keep Rafa on board.

Of course Ashley would need to get a capable and visionary project manager on the job – if he left it to Charnley it’d never get started!

  • 9 lesh // May 10, 2016 at 7:58 PM

Don’t want to put a damper on things, but all this pro-Rafa spin has all the makings of Bishop being behind it.

Maybe I’m a cynic but I don’t believe anything from Ashley until it’s happened.

Kick off delayed at West Ham to 8.30.
Should be some atmosphere there tonight !

Crumbs of comfort, number 5 – Smalling vs Carroll. Whatever you think of our old donkey, Smalling is by comparison weak and pitiful, a vastly overrated player. I hope Carroll bounces him round the pitch like a ping pong ball.

Last tine I read you were hailing McClaren as “Supermac” and being quite scathing about anyone who disagreed with your assessment.
You insisted he was so good the club didn’t need to sign any players.
And that you said he should allowed to serve out his contract even if we were relegated.
And here you are, wearing your Cider-With-Rosie-tinted glasses, to paint pictures of happy away fans swilling ale in Suffolk pubs.
Away fans you will not be joining.
I’m sure you aren’t remotely bothered what damage your latest blog avatar suffers, as you’ll just change it when you’ve run out of road…again.
    Leave Lesh alone.
    There’s a good lad.

    Robertson LB from Hull
    Thorne MF from Derby
    Dunk CB from Brighton
    O’ Roofe Attacker from Oxford
    Redmond LW from Norwich

Would be good signings to help us out of that league

  • 31 Jib // May 10, 2016 at 9:01 PM

I’m in Nuevo Leon not too far south of you probably the same time zone it’s 3 in the arternoon here .

  • 32 Laurent Robert 32 // May 10, 2016 at 9:02 PM

If Raffa was to stay if we are relegated, it would be nowhere near as tough to take compared to if he wasn’t there and we went down.

  • 33 lesh // May 10, 2016 at 9:04 PM

  • 35 Laurent Robert 32 // May 10, 2016 at 9:05 PM

And if he did stay if we went down, if we were promoted and then went on to win something, his prestige would multiple ten-fold – it would already be sky high if someone won something anyway.

Makes a change from the grief he took at Chelsea and the pressure at Real.

  • 36 lesh // May 10, 2016 at 9:05 PM

Where on earth’s Nuevo Leon? Is it near Stanhope Street?

  • 39 martoon // May 10, 2016 at 9:14 PM

Evening people – if this story is true it would be great BUT as lesh @9 points out it could well be Bishop spin leaked to the press to quell protests at the game on Sunday. I’ll not count my chickens until I hear Rafa confirm it.

Wouldn’t even bother looking at that shite jizz posted.

256mb of ram? Get to fcuk you numpty.

Just goes to show that Google has it’s limitations despite you claiming to know all sorts (only fairly recently I might add after every fcuker else had posted tidbits about kodi/boxes on here by the way)

Anyway Tsunki. Ah yes the android boxes.

My first box was the M8 quadcore. Easy to use. A few problems with connections via the hdmi lead but purchased my own (they usually supply them in the box) still got it and still working fine.

My new box is the upgraded version called the M8S quadcore. Very similar but slightly faster and no problems whatsoever so far.

They’ve both been completely wiped (bought them preloaded) and set up againat least once.

The older box has been done about 5 times. I get bored.

I haven’t tried any other boxes so can’t really comment on them (unless the ram is below 1gig then they will probably be shite as I said above)

I’d look for 2g ram as the more you put on the slower it’ll get. I’ve heard the mx is OK but it’s got an aerial for picking up signals (should tell you all you need to know about that)

    Hope that helps.

    Why the f@ck do I bother ?

  • 55 Average_Contents // May 10, 2016 at 10:30 PM

Oh and another thing, those mag250 boxes are iptv hosted subscription (sometimes) boxes anyway so no, not what you really want if it’s just streaming your after.

  • 56 jimmysmith // May 10, 2016 at 10:31 PM

West Ham have done well. Along with Spurs, Southampton and Leicester of course. Really the only teams that haven’t done well are the four at the bottom and Everton. There’s seventeen teams that have outperformed us. Probably twenty, if you include, Burnley, Boro and Brighton, when by rights only five or six ever consistently should. It’s been pretty dreadful under Ashley all things considered. But this is just the wheels totally fallen off. Leaving us with nothing but the hope of four most unlikely events in a row and wilderness. Sunderland to drop points in both their remaining games, us to take three against a very good Spurs side, and Rafa not to have seen through this shower of shit running things, and stay. In other words, Buckley’s. Of course being an asshole, I still think it can happen. Jesus!

  • 57 Jib // May 10, 2016 at 10:38 PM

If you are a technoprat (you give that impression ) Linux driven iptv boxes are the way to go.
I just use an Amazon firestick and it works fine , but I’m always fannying on and tweaking which is my thing , but if you want to keep pratting about to a minimum go the Mag 250 route.

  • 58 martoon // May 10, 2016 at 10:38 PM

  • 59 Average_Contents // May 10, 2016 at 10:39 PM

    Oh I’m sorry jizz.

Perhaps you’d care to do more detailed research (not just Google) before talking shite about something you clearly know nothing about.

I do know what I’m on about and if you think that’s chest beating when I’m trying to steer a fellow nufc fan and blog user in the right direction then….not a single fcuk was given.

bulldog streams is the new robocop, works well when its on but its on and off all the time, try you tube, kodi football addons

  • 61 Average_Contents // May 10, 2016 at 10:50 PM

Robocop is no longer an addon unfortunately. It’s still found in navi-x (another addon) but much smaller and much less content.

Try the phoenix addon as it’s got great links to the footy and films. (not sure if it’s the same process on Windows as on android platforms)

First time users I’d perhaps recommend a build as it’s easier to set up as opposed to inputting individual addons yourself.

Try looking on YouTube for installation videos for Windows and see how you get on.

Or see if this guy has any step by steps for Windows(pretty sure he will., just type seo Michael into Google and his page will come up. Helped me loads.

Any problems give me a shout.

Jib , Technoprat? Oh dear you haven’t been paying attention. A few blog users will know that I used to be an IT trainer, supported networking particularly hybrid networks integrating Unix/Linux Server, Windows server and windows and Apple OS clients, Radius server, Active Directory, (after moving slowly on from the days of Netware) the list goes on all sorts of stuff you are going to spend hours on before getting into the nitty gritty of delivering Group Policy and all the niceties of Networking strategy. All this Open Source derived pants called Android is tomy toys stuff, I’m just lazy and asking those who spend the time on it if I can pick their brains and save myself hours of faffing about.

What was your point, again? 🙂

  • 71 Tsunki // May 10, 2016 at 11:54 PM

Reilly as I suspected. Android for me is a slow moving experiment that seems profligate on memory and Processing power. it’s still a light weight system focused on phones and limited in scope by its size.

  • 72 Tsunki // May 10, 2016 at 11:57 PM

I think Rafa might look at it in that way: if he goes – it means that he failed, if he stays and club allow him to repair all rotten branches (or cut them off), he might to reorganize club, promote us back to PL and than he will be still man with success.

We all know that NUFC needs to be rebuilded, refreshned and repaired. That’s why he is placing list of demandings – if board want to have club not only back in PL, but aso fighting in higher part of that table – than should provide to Rafa everything what he needs/wants.

If not – means that owner is not serious person and working with him is waste of time.

  • 75 Toon fm Exeter // May 11, 2016 at 4:05 AM

I hate to say it but I think today is the day we lose our premiership status, As much as I want him too I don’t think that Rafa will stay and we will not get out of the championship at the first attempt. The club is as badly run as it was when Westwood was in charge (the old ones will know what I mean). Oh for a Chinese billionaire to come in and give Ashley his money. Relegation may well be the best thing for us so that we can get rid of the prima donnas, the deadwood and the so called board and we can start again. I hope that I am wrong and we get lucky but I just can’t see it happening, sorry to bring gloom to the blog.

  • 76 Novocastrian66 // May 11, 2016 at 5:02 AM

Toon fm Exeter. I know what you mean mate, however relegation is not for the best. Everton and Watford to win their last two games and Newcastle to beat Spurs. Isn’t going to happen.

  • 77 Jib // May 11, 2016 at 6:46 AM

Although it probably came across that way it was not my intention to be gratuiously rude.

I think you probably feigned being a techno tyro in order to garner more information (playing the sympathy card as it were – álá Vollens)

I fell for it hook line and sinker

I’m a bit of a sucker for helping folk who I perceive as struggling.

To all that are reading this my advice still stands.
For the novice a fully loaded Mag 254 iptv box is the way to go.
You can get them off the internet for the £100 mark , for that price you should get 4 years use.
That’s all the sport , movies, xxx stuff you could ever want for about 50p per week.

  • 78 Jib // May 11, 2016 at 6:47 AM

    gratuitously even

  • 79 jimmysmith // May 11, 2016 at 7:23 AM

I wonder if Ashley, having waded in this far, will just keep going, and back Rafa to the hilt, considering A, the money on offer, or to be missed out on, depending on how you look at it, B, the money already committed, C, the fact he’s tried everything else and failed, D, his legacy, E, he owes it big time to Newcastle, it’s citizens and the Geordie diaspora, F, the bastard can afford to, whereas in the past he perhaps couldn’t so much, and perhaps most tellingly, G, Rafa is already here, and not doing everything he can to keep him might get him lynched.

  • 80 stan anderson // May 11, 2016 at 7:41 AM
