    Ed,

Can I kick the relegation issue RIGHT into the long grass by also starting an “Ed…will he, won’t he” debate?
    Song for Ed, anyone?

Mike Ashley blinked awkwardly into the camera and made a promise. “From this day forward, we will definitely be making our own luck,” the Newcastle United owner said and although this was never how he imagined it, the prophesy was uncanny. They have spent big and badly, entrusted inadequate people with too much power, played with fear and acted too late. Now, for the second time under Ashley’s stewardship, they are relegated.
Shambolic Newcastle have become a shell of a club overseen by pygmies
Demotion had not only been coming, but was practically inevitable given failed strategies, says George Caulkin in the Times

As I have posted in recent weeks the Blog did continue for some (if not all) of our last spell in Championship. Relegation alone won’t be Ed’s reason not to continue should he so decide and who could blame him?

A horse, a horse. My kingdom for a horse. One of the biggest spenders in Europe – on donkeys. Would’ve been better off sending Carr on a scouting mission to Blackpool beach.

No just Charnley. In a statement sweated over and polished before the Mackems kicked off. You may be surprised that he hasn’t apportioned any blame to himself at this stage but there is to be an inquest so he may yet stumble on the truth.

It appears the fabled horse did not have the necessary number of legs required to walk let alone pull a cart. We will need Pegasus next season to get back up.

Dont mean this in a racist way. But all the French players can now f*** off!! When things are not going well, they do not even try. No heart, no bottle.

Also need to get rid coloccini, taylor, anita, cisse.
Shelvey, wijnaldum & townsend will be to expensive to keep on

The Rafa decision (made or up in the air) will need some careful stage management before Sunday. Unless talks have been ongoing behind scenes since last Saturday (or even before) it seems unlikely that such a complicated negotiation would be finalised for an announcement before Sunday. I, like many others no doubt, will not be surprised if negotiations are said to be ongoing even if they are not!

There will be solemnly on Rafa, because he will be quietly out the back door after the spurs game. There may be even a few weeks of erm-ing and ah-ing before someone pipes up that he’s actually not been here for a while.

Rob made a cameo tonight. Toe back in the water I think. That would be the non-disabled toe. The only part of his body he can move since his return from being blown up by a landmine rescuing orphans from Somalian gangsters while doing aid work as a trainee priest.

Benitez in the championship? Risking his reputation under Mike Ashleys track record of crippling remit? Hmm let me see now, what would I do if I were Rafa.
