Press Confererence At 7:00 pm To Unveil Rafa Benitez

There will be a press conference tonight at 7:00 pm, when Newcastle United will unveil Rafa Benitez as their new manager for at least the next three years – and hopefully for a lot longer than that.

This will be one of the most important appointments for Newcastle in recent memory and certainly since the great Sir Bobby Robson (then simply Bobby Robson) was appointed as the Newcastle manager in early September 1999.

Newcastle United will now be taken back to their former greatness by a certain Mr. Benitez – who is absolutely and utterly determined to be successful on Tyneside.

Sounds good to us – sounds great to us – sounds stupendous to us.

Where’s those blood pressure pills?

Howay The Lads!!

who else feels the same as me.??…. Over the last 5 or 6 people coming up to me and asking why im p@@sed off with the club , telling me how good of a manager weve got or Ashley doing everything for the club and that i should be happy that he took over NUFC and that we are where we are because we are no bigger than any other club and we have no right to be moaning about the club, the one thing they always said was ” we are impatiant ” which made my blood boil , now however , they are going to understand what NUFC is all about and let them see just why we wernt happy . now they are going to ”get it”

People who say we are impatient need to look at clubs like manu, manc, liverpool et.c.
Wanting rid of thier managers because they only win 1 cup in three years,or only finish 4th. We have won nowt in decades, yet did we hound out keegan? SBR? HOOTS? ROEDER?

Important anouncement. Mike Ashleys good lady will be painting her nails green this summer. She will be wearing shoes to match. I hope this helps to give the fan base a much needed boost, and we can forget what has come before, and move forward together. Thanks.

B&B, were you in on the negotiations then? You know exactly how it went down? A quietly whispered ‘well done’ is hardly great praise, is it? You stay miserable, i’m happy as it gets. So what’s this then? Ashley just lulling us into a false sense of security before he sacks him? We wanted him to stay out of football. He did that. We wanted investment. He did that. We wanted Rafa. He’s changed everything in order to get him. He’s given Rafa everything he asked for. Some people will never be happy because they don’t want to be. That says more about the person than the situation though.

    ******************************************

Not sure why you’re focusing on events behind closed doors and questioning who is in the know?

I’m not miserable. I’m sanguine. Unlike you, I’m not as happy as it gets.

Every time Ashley’s been involved in footballing matters, he’s ballsed up. It’s not as if we haven’t seen such optimism before. Shearer and Keegan, for example.

It was only a few weeks ago, after Ashley’s own man Charnley screwed up, Ashley warned that the club should not look to him for more money. If the club’s spent it, that’s it. His statement of intent went out the window in 12 short months and he washed his hands of responsibility, even though he was the one who said, “my door”. So you praise Mike if you want to.

Actions speak louder than words. I’ll praise Ashley if he ever gets it right on the field and we win something. So far, it’s nearly a decade of my NUFC supporting life not just wasted but spent in varying degrees of humiliation.

“Many have seen the news stories surrounding the “presencia espanol” at nufc of late, and we feel it’s important to state categorically there will be NO change to the catering on matchday. The Balti pie will be here for a long time at SJP. In fact most of them have been. But you won’t be getting Albondigas and a Dorada in the meal deal any time soon. Thank you.”

    @LindisF

A lot of people say stuff about Mccormack but guessing not many people have watched him play? Hes only just turned 29 has plenty of experience scores all types of goals excelled in the championship with Fulham who are rubbish so imagine the goals he will score in a good team in that league!?Hes exactly what we need in the championship and then would provide decent backup in the top league for a few seasons

He also plays wide left in a 4231 which is where he would probably play under Rafa with Townsend on the other side both cutting in for goals !!

But you are sanguine B&B mate? According to google that means blood-red. Or optimistic in an apparently bad or difficult situation. I think we’re all a bit cautious knowing Ashley as we do. This is all to get back into the Prem as quickly as possibly of course. But if Rafa makes us a decent or even great club I’ll take it!

I think they’re going to get Lee to say that Rafa won’t be signing after all. But he’ll be naked with just a pink sparkly balloon to hide his bits. Just to take the edge off the mood.

T minus 35 minutes until Lee, via intermediaries, informs the universe that the club will no longer be buying rich tea and that hobnobs are the future.

It was a very hard decision and the budget will be stretched to the limit but it’s what you fans deserve.

Only the best will do from now on.
