Newcastle United, Hull City, Norwich City and Bristol City are clubs said to be interested in signing Bournemouth’s Lee Tomlin in the summer transfer window, and yet Lee couldn’t get his game at Bournemouth last season.
Tomlin signed for Bournemouth last August from Middlesbrough on a three-year deal for a fee of around £3.5M and played only 10 times for the Cherries before being shipped out on loan to Championship club Bristol City in January, who now want to make the deal permanent.
Lee Tomlin on loan at Bristol City
City are said to be in initial talks with Tomlin about a deal, but a player who has spent his career in the lower leagues and couldn’t make it at Bournemouth doesn’t seems to be the type of player Newcastle should be looking at this summer.
The former Middlesbrough player is certainly versatile and can play as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder and he scored 6 goals in 18 appearances for the Robins while on loan this year.
Maybe Tomlin is just a made up target for Newcastle this summer?
We would be very surprised if Newcastle are really interested in this 27 year-old forward.
Why would we be interested, especially with Rafa Benitez in charge of all transfers?
