There has been news for the last couple of days that Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing 22 year-old Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez, but as we wrote this morning we’d be very surprised if Rafa Benitez allows him to leave Newcastle this summer.
But Ayoze has never shown any interest in leaving Newcastle and he only recently signed a new improved deal that will keep him at Newcastle for the next five years.
Rafa Benitez with Ayoze Perez
Now listen son – I want you to go out there and score 5 goals
Perez has been upbeat and positive ever since Rafa Benitez arrived as the Newcastle manager and it seems the young Spaniard is only thinking of how he can help Newcastle get promoted next season.
This is what the Newcastle forward has said in the Spanish publication El Dia:
“I have a contract with Newcastle until 2021, I was part of the relegation and I am preparing to return my best.”
“It was not a good year collectively or individually, but I scored some goals.” “You have to take the positives and think about what’s coming.”
“It’s going to be tough but in your career, a player must always jump over obstacles.”
“I heard about the Brexit vote, I have received some news about it, but being here on my vacation, it is not the time to dwell on that matter.”
“What has to happen will happen.” “I do not know if it will impact on my future.” “I do not want to think too much about what will happen, only training.”
“I have not had a chance to discuss the matter with my teammates.”
The effect of the UK’s exit from the European Union will be very complex at best, but it does have some potential negatives for the Premier League.
It will be more difficult for players who are part of the EU to arrive in England and they will need some sort of visa once the UK has officially separated from the EU.
But it’s all so complex that it’s almost impossible to know exactly what will happen.
