Photos – Newcastle’s Impressive New Home Strip

5:56 pm, Friday, July 8th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 11 Comments

Newcastle’s impressive looking new strip is finally on sale today and we got a glimpse of it with the boys and girls wearing the strips in the inaugural Newcastle United Foundation 1892 Cup on Monday afternoon at the Youth Academy.

We like it a lot and it’s so clean looking – and looks great.

Did Rafa design it (in his spare time)?

🙂

Here are some close-up photos of the new strips.

Here’s new boy Dwight Gayle wearing the full strip last Friday.

I don’t think Santon was half the LB Enrique was. Discuss. I like the new strip.

    Love that W*nga logo!

I thought it said Wombat Ron mate. No….. I don’t like it. Get rid of that.

Enrique in his last season with us was absolutely tremendous. Liverpool ruined him. Should have stayed with us but Assley ran things then didn’t he?

Take Wonka off and it’s a great strip

    GT

    id rank recent Lbs:

    1. Enrique..we got the best years out of him
    2. Dummett..underrated, the lb equivalent of danny simpson
    3. Haidara. okay defender, not great going forward
    4. Santon…loads of technical ability, no footballing brains

I like the stripy sock design, but like everyone else, the Wonga logo ruins it. Rafa is a God, but even he can’t make that logo (and the related sponsorship) disappear. Does anyone know when the Wonga deal expires?

Rafa’s powers of attracting players, even those from superior leagues, is a major advantage for us. Just think of who we’ll end up with next season if we go back up!

Some good points there NUFCPaul mate. We can discuss on the next thread.

Santon is heading back to the north east as his lass is from here…..the options would have been limited as we are in championship

So we have a new strip. Big deal. Given that the design must incorporate black and white stripes, the club motif and the ugly Wonga logo, a twelve year old could put that lot together and come up with a workable design. Seriously though, has anyone seen the reverse? I don’t like last seaon’s plain back. Let us have stripes on the back too please.
