News coming through – Sky Sports are reporting that Issac Hayden will sign a five year permanent deal at Newcastle for £2.5M.
While we all knew a deal was pending for Isaac, it wasn’t clear whether it would be a permanent deal or a one year loan deal.
But it looks like Newcastle have beaten at least Hull City and maybe a number of other clubs to the signing of the the highly-rated 21 year-old Arsenal defender.
Isaac Hayden – soon to be Newcastle player

We didn’t fancy a loan deal and have Rafa make Isaac into a much better player and then have the 21 year-old return to Arsenal, so this is a great deal for Newcastle United.
Rafa obviously thinks this lad can become some player for Newcastle United.
If confirmed this would be Newcastle’s 5th signing of the summer with Newcastle also having lodged a third bid – said to be £4M – for Blackburn defender Grant Hanley.
