We don’t mind too much if Moussa Sissoko leaves Newcastle this summer – in fact because of his attitude – it may be a good thing that he leaves and sees what it’s like for a world-class player to be on the bench at a really big club.
That could happen if Juventus sell their young star Paul Pogba to Manchester United for £100M or more and could replace him with the great Moussa Sissoko of Newcastle United.
Moussa Sissoko – Juventus interested
The news today being reported in Italy is that Paul Pogba wants the move to the Red Devils and the wages he will get are said to be around £200K/week – which is around £10M/year – good money if you can get it.
And Juventus are also said to be interested in Moussa Sissoko, but it’s the Italian press surmising who could possibly replace Pogba.
The news is from Gazzetta dello Sport that Juventus may want both Nemanja Matic and Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko to replace Paul Pogba.
If Juventus get £100M for Pogba what’s £35M for Sissoko and £25M for Matic – which is what Gazzetta dello Sport are estimating the transfer fees to be.
Cheap at the price and they still have £30M left over (for a party?).
And the other news is that Liverpool have liked negotiating with Newcastle so much for Gini Wijnaldum that they are also said to be interested in Moussa.
So maybe a double deal could be done and we understand Mike Ashley wants just £62M up front in cool cash and the double deal is done.
Newcastle are said to be trying to get some players in part exchange for Georginio – and they include 29 year-old Brazilian defensive midfield star Lucas.
The Chronicle are reporting Newcastle are sticking to their guns and dictating the terms under which they will sell the Dutch International to Liverpool.
That could be good practice for then selling Moussa to Liverpool for a cool £35M.
If any club doesn’t come up with £27M for Wijnaldum or £35M for Sissoko and pay up front in cash then the players will not be sold.
Sounds good to us.
And Gini Wijnaldum is in the Newcastle squad for the friendly at Doncaster Rovers tonight.

I am not saying Hanley is going to be a great or a flop. …..I have never seen him play.
However a certain Mr Kilcline was in my opinion ‘pound for pound’ an unbelievable signing. He was fantastic and just what we needed in defence at that time.
Hopefully he can be a great signing and do what Rafa obviously believes he can do.
Let’s wait and see

not sure bloggers making these comments have seen the lad play very well suited to the CHAMPIONSHIP which we are now a member of
still young very much a leader on the pitch worth a few goals from set pieces
both Lascelles and Mbemba had there moments last season at lest give the lad a chance to pull the shirt on before you knock him
and of course you all know what we need better than Rafa that go’s without saying
football manager / fifa has a lot to answer for !!

Comment #2Away from home we will be bombarded in the first 20 minutes by teams we need players who will dominate in the air and withstand the physical treatment ! Hanley will allow us to bully teams and then let our flair players do the damage on the counter

Comment #10I hope we hold onto Sissoko. For me he is a good player, but often found wanting under previous managers. When he first came I was excited that we had a potential younger yaya toure , sadly he has rarely shown those qualities. He has been highly motivated since Rafa’s arrival and if he stays Rafa will get the best out of him. A lack of consistency in the past could dissuade a team blowing £25 +million on him. His marauding style would be a revalation in the championship.

Comment #15Sometimes there is a phrase on the blog which catches your eye/or it is unusual and you remember it.
Happened today -phrase about Sissoko from carl (the little “c”).
“His marauding style would be a revalation in the championship.”
I knew the phrase rang a bell from somebody posting with a different name Ian Toon.
” Ian Toon // Jul 15, 2016 at 7:47 AM………………………………………………………………………. That’s down to Benitez but I would like to keep Sissoko with the right mindset as his marauding style could be a revelation in the Championship.”
Just an interesting observation. I suggest or infer nothing. Just pointing out unusual phraseology on the blog.

Comment #18So we can expect to hear that Sissoko’s flattered by Juventus’s interest along with PSG but he’d rather play in the Prem.
He might just burn his bridges to mainland Europe and be honoured to be approached by er, Stoke, Burnley, WBA.

Comment #19I’m loving the fact that Rafa has Gini in the squad at Donnie! This guy doesn’t give an inch and I am proud to have him as our manager! Hope he makes Gini play at least 45 mins. If he picks up an injury? So what!
