Southend 0 Newcastle 2 – Video Of Goals

Here’s the best video we can find of last night’s game – at least it shows Newcastle’s two goals in the second half at Southend scored by Vurnon Anita and Yoan Gouffran to give Newcastle a fairly comfortable 2-0 win.

I’ve got to come down on the side of the ‘Sissoko out as fast as possible’ gang.
When we were last in the championship, the success we had in getting back up immediately was down to the fact that, in addition to having the excellent Hoots in charge, we had a team with a tough spine and an attitude of solidarity and togetherness.
Sissoko’s attitude stinks, and, although Rafa may feel he can reform this and get the best out of him, if he doesn’t then this could be the bad apple in the barrel which could cost us promotion.

I think the majority want him gone but if he does stay we have to give him another chance as it’s no good booing him every game.

    Good morning Munster,
What did Rafa do wrong last night, I know, I know he should have brought Gouffran on in the sixtieth minute instead of waiting until the sixty third. He’ll get there man, give him a chance.

    It’s an interesting one
Sissoko returns on 1st August the day of the open training session at SJP.
The team plays it’s first league game 4 days later away to Fulham
Rafa should pretty much have his starting eleven in mind after next Saturday’s match against Vitesse Arnhem.
I think Sissoko will be kept in the background.

Have to really say Anita is becoming one of my favorites on team and not because of this preseason goal it’s because the man took the leap of faith to come from his boyhood club Ajax who are usually successful and in Champions League and always competing for domestic trophies and was on fringes of Dutch squad to come test himself here and although it did go so well as first planned and transition was not easy and maybe position he prefers to play was not handed to him or hell even being included in Starting XI most of time he has always worked hard and been ready when called upon to play anywhere he is asked to and for that I salute him and think he is a model player for many to look up to at the club and although he may not wear armband cause he may not be vocal enough his professionalism is something all should follow
