It’s Started – Newcastle Receive Multiple Bids For Star Player

There’s a report in Spanish publication AS today that Real Madrid have finally given up on trying to get Paul Pogba to the club and it looks he will finally sign on at Manchester United for around £100M.

The Spanish powerhouse have now switched their attention to Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko – who is now back in Newcastle after his summer break.

Real Madrid value Sissoko at around 30M (£26.8M), but any attempts to bring down the price by offering a couple of young players in part exchange will fall on deaf ears at Newcastle, who seem to want cash up front for the French International.

Moussa Sissoko – multiple bids – rejected

It will help Newcastle that Juventus want him to replace the departing Paul Pogba, with Borussia Dortmund and Everton the other two clubs in contention.

There were reports yesterday that Crystal Palace and Alan Pardew want him, but Moussa has pushed for a move away from Newcastle to a Champions League club – so there’s little chance he will move to Palace.

Those four big clubs in contention will help push the price up, with the reports being that Newcastle want £35M in cash for the Frenchman, who was a star man at the Euro 2016 Championships, which has helped to push up his value significantly in the transfer market.

AS is reporting Newcastle have already had multiple offers which Newcastle have knocked back, because they don’t meet Newcastle’s valuation of the player.

Real Madrid are also reported to be asking Moussa to put in a transfer request at Newcastle to quicken up his exit.

With two new players coming into Newcastle today, the club is in no particular rush to sell Moussa Sissoko and can play hardball – as usual.

The Magpies are selling a player who is in great demand by some top clubs after his outstanding performances for France this summer and will want to maximize the money they get for him in this window of opportunity this summer.

Most Newcastle fans will not shed a tear when he leaves.

I fully expect Jaanmat to be first choice RB and will prove again he is one of our best players

There will be a lot of clubs, even in the Pl kicking themselves that they missed out on these release clauses. Goes to show the shady world of agents. I imagine diames agent made good use of release clause to get hull to offer more for his client, and when they didn’t the toon came knocking. I suspect there is many millions more to include on agents fee on our total spend on transfers o top of the reported 45m we are about to spend.

I also suspect we have agents working around the clock trying to get rid of some of our deadwood. Moral of the story…reckon I should become an agent

The agent does have his uses for buying clubs. Unless their looking for a Dutch auction.

Of course he’s not faultless and he will make mistakes, but through his career he doesn’t make that many of them whereas due to how Janmaat approaches the game he does make more mistakes, as a result I fully expect Gamez to be first choice.

In all honesty do you really think that Rafa would buy a specialist right back to then play him at left back, seriously mate, that isn’t going to happen, if Rafa wanted a left back he would have bought one, but he hasn’t so that tells me that he is happy and trusting of Dummett, yes I know that many view him as the weak link and not Janmaat, but I view it differently and it appears that Rafa does as well which is why he has bought another right back.

Made some crack about Rafa starting his signees !
Listen bonny lad Rafa doesn’t sign players to sit on the bench !
No mention of Hanley at all in Slank original post and when I questioned it you gave a completely wrong answer to the point I’d made. Rafa is well known for rotating his players therefore to answer slinks original question: No, not all Rafas signings will be regular starters.

When I questioned this you g

What if our valuation doesn’t get met, how would the fans feel to see him in a black and white shirt again !

If we continue buying players at this rate we could sign more than 11, so it would be very difficult to have them all as regular starters lol

Delighted mate. He would be made captain which Rafa was at pains to highlight from the training camp prior to the Bohemian game.

I can’t comment on what Gamez has done throughout his career I’ve not watched him through it, am surprised anyone has tbh but fair enough

As for playing him LB because he’s a specialist RB pretty sure he played LB for AM and Simeone is up there with Rafa for managers stakes

Could also be Rafa bought a RB because we only had 1 and Gamez was available

They will be integrated into the team. I can see Hanley as a starter.

Janmaat was not happy last year. But then again why would he be surrounded by no hopers and none tryers.
We did have some good runs in 14/15 season when he played very well.
Thing is when you play this 4/2/3/1 you expect the fullbacks to get forward and attack. When they do someone has to cover for them and back up the play.
I don’t think anybody did. Toite was not good at it or could not be bothered.
    It’s not Shelvey’s game either.
Horses for courses as they say.

Posada exactly Jaanmat gets bad press on here for leaving gaps yet he is one of our main attacking outlets and the team should be set up to cover the full back going forward as with 99% of the teams out there. I expect either Jaanmat will leave or be first choice.

We’ve all seen Sissoko and we know his pros and cons. Powerful runner, poor passer, touch not great, no final pass and wild shooting. Doesn’t score many goals. I can’t believe ZZ rates him that highly! It must be a vanity signing by the President if they take him. We will have a better player for 4.5 million in Diame! Happy happy happy!
