23 Year-Old Could Be Surpise Departure This Month

Massadio Haidara was signed from Nancy in January of 2013,  but he has never been able to tie down a regular starting spot at Newcastle, mainly because of all the injuries he’s picked up in his three and a half years on Tyneside.

Sadio is currently out with a knee injury and he has taken no part in pre-season at the club.

Massadio Haidara – could leave Newcastle this summer

With Everton’s left-back Brendan Galloway expected to arrive next week on a season long loan deal and Ciaran Clark just signed, it could well be that Rafa has enough cover at left-back and will allow the former French U-21 Intentional to leave before September rolls around.

Sadio tried to return in April from the knee injury he picked up last November, but he broke down in training and he’s never been back since.

So it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if the player we paid Nancy £2M for finally leaves Newcastle and returns to his native France.

And that’s what the Chronicle are claiming could happen, but it could be difficult to move him out while he is still injured.

His injury record has also been very poor, with Sadio appearing only 48 times for Newcastle in the last three and a half years.

He appeared only 8 times last season, but maybe the less physical play in the French league will be more to his liking and he would have the chance to resurrect his career in France after it has stalled since he arrived at Newcastle.

Maybe the 23 year-old could go out on loan with an obligation to buy after a certain number of games are played – which is the deal Florian Thauvin is on at Marseille.

That would at least get Sadio’s wages off the books and he would have a chance to prove himself in France in the coming season.

He only has 18 months left on his contract at Newcastle and while he’s a good player when he plays, injuries have simply devastated his time at Newcastle.

What do you think?

Comment welcome.

Thats why I’m not a Football Manager.

Problem is I don’t know which team I would play/pick

OK one up front Gayle with Diame sitting in behind.

    Clark, Mbemba, Lascalles, Jnmaatt
    Sissoko, Hayden, Colback, Richie

I don’t think you will find a buyer, not even a try before you buy loan arrangement.
The club should simply take the hit and buy out his contract on the best terms they can.

Brown Ale top washed and aired – and it still fits -Let’s get the party started! I stopped going for 4 seasons, so great to actually be looking forward to going again, because the last season I went was often torture!
I don’t think Rafa will change the team much – Mbemba for Hanley if fit and Diame, maybe for Colback or Perez. Otherwise same team. Sissoko, maybe bench?

    jamesnufc86 @ 9 That’s a much better team.
Sorry Charlie but wouldn’t have Colback even on the bench. He is far too limited – gets turned by tricky players, can’t create and always susceptible to a booking.
Regarding Sissoko I wouldn’t play him but if he does start I think the fans should forget the boos. Don’t think it would go down well with Rafa at a time when he considers us ‘the bee’s knees’..
Prediction: 3-1 to the Toon today. 2 for Gayle and 1 for Ritchie. Onwards and upwards!

who would you play as a holding/sitting in front of defence midfield player – My worry playing Anita – like last week – our squad comprises of to many lightweight midgets – think I counted up 12 out of 33 u6ft or under and 13 stone or less

There is no full camera crew there.
However there are touchline cameras for Channel 5 highlights.
    So who knows .

Here we go! Getting ready for the game today and can’t wait. I know rafa loves the 4231, but I’d go far more offensive personally. Still, three points is what matters and we should have enough to get those. Geat effort by the gallowgate flags lads n lasses that should see atmosphete cranked up even further. One of the Huddersfield players has claimed he’s played in front of 80k, so 52k should be no bother to him. We’ll see shall we? 😉 Let’s make it as hostile as possible for every side that turns up here. I know about the ‘it’s their wembley’ argument, but that’s what they said last time and we didn’t lose at home! We need to try and emulate that this season. HTL!!!

Just booked my flight to France now!!

Jib it doesn’t matter that cameras are at the game recording for highlights that happens at every game and how many are shown on links (only ones shown live on a channel).

What do you think will happen the person who creates the steam will hack into channel 5 cameras and start streaming the game 🙂

Apparently he got booked just after half time and subbed just after the hour. Nil nil draw

Shirebrook – Mitros’ poor discipline has certainly caused Benitez some problems for the initial games.
Certainly I think we need a big man/bruiser type to lead the line.

    Jib Jibberish – blog pest.
    Save you a Google search.
The expression “lead the line” is an expression we use in football and not at all related to fishing – ie weighting the fishing line with the metal lead.

In football it usually means the centre forward or the person highest up the field.

Gloucester, he’s contracted in for a certain amount of time, I think. Not sure how long he spent with Mitro, but he did get a few goals after the sessions if I remember correctly. It certainly can’t have harmed him to take part.

I think it’s a no brainer to have the training.

I’m going for a 3 -1 win (Gayle and Ritchie on the scoresheet).
Need to persevere with through balls in the channels for Gayles runs.
For me Diame to start, Hanley to retain his place, Sissoko bench.
Hopefull Diames’ running with the ball will peg them back a bit – allow us to get into their box.

difference is Barton ,guthrie, butt, smith and Taylor might of been small they were a lot more physical and had a ‘EDGE’ to them ‘we will not be beaten’ attitude to them – can you see any of our small players having that edge – maybe Colback but gets booked to often.

    anyway off to the match
