Dwight Gayle’s Winning Goal – Video

5:54 pm, Saturday, August 20th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 24 Comments

Here’s Dwight Gayle’s winning goal after 20 minutes today – excellent play from Mohamed Diame who had a good game today – and Gayle took the chance in excellent style – a born goalscorer.

Notice it’s right in front of the traveling Newcastle fans – all 2500 of them!!

Worth the trip down there for sure.

🙂

Crystal Palace form in the PL since they were 7th last season (including the games this season)

From their 20th game last season to the 2nd game this season:

    L L L L L D L L D L L D W D D L L W L L L

    14 Loses
    6 Draws
    1 Win

    14.3% success rate
9 points out of possible 63.

From the Banner on this page:
    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/403307/Newcastle-fans-unveil-HILARIOUS-anti-Alan-Pardew-banner-at-Swansea

Here are our stats. They are actually better than the ones of CP. But I am not sure if ours is just in the PL or including the cups.

    L L W D L L L W W L W L L L L L L W L L D D L D

    24 Games
    15 Loses
    4 Draws
    5 Wins

19 points out of possible 72 points
    20.8% success

  • 3 manxpie // Aug 20, 2016 at 5:58 PM

cracking goal we’ve missed goals like that for ages, he certainly looks like he’s settled in now plus he only needs to score another 20 for my prediction

  • 4 toonking // Aug 20, 2016 at 5:59 PM

poordew has got to remain at palace all season, i don’t give a crap about palace I want him to drop down maybe then he’ll realize england need guys likes alan shearer to step it up and get coaching

  • 5 sparky55 // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:02 PM

I get this squad rotation thing because it’s a long season and we need a big squad to maintain fitness levels and all that, but he practically rotates 8 or 9 from one match to the next…surely he’s gonna try to have a settled team soon?…isn’t he???

  • 8 toonking // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:03 PM

last season the relegation zone had two teams who are in a real mess meaning only 1 spot was left this year the relegation doesn’t have that and with leister city doinf as they did do last season teams promoted will have more confidence going into games and getting wins hull and burley tell you. palace are down.

  • 9 NUFCPaul // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:04 PM

nufc-83 if you’re happy to be a homophobe and for everyone to know that, then you’re probably not bothered by my comment at all, but that tells me everything I need to know about you.

I sure as hell hope the 83 in your name doesn’t represent the year you were born because if you’re acting like that in your thirties then it’s pathetic.

  • 10 Ron Knee // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:05 PM

    sparky

He’s still looking to bring in a couple more signings.

  • 11 Nufc-83 // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:05 PM

Kets is a complete troll at least I did apologise at the streaming prank (if you can call it that lol).

Manpixie I completely agree about that type of goal I can’t remember the last time we had someone on the last man played in behind and finished nicely.

  • 12 cyprus // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:05 PM

    Who crossed the ball.

  • 13 toonking // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:07 PM

Why benteke went to palace I don’t know he’ll not get much improvement even with more games to play.

Sissoko is certainly not going to join palace they don’t have any CL games and that’s why he’s always wanting to leave us.

I am thinking cabaye might want to leave palace this season.

  • 14 Nufc-83 // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:07 PM

Paul at the end of the day I should not of used the term fag as I’m certainly not a homophobe but I just pulled the word out without really thinking about exactly what it means (just to use as a bit of an insult lol).

  • 15 Jib // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:07 PM

    Diamé

  • 16 cyprus // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:08 PM

Why on earth did they sell Bolasie. No choice?

  • 17 NUFCPaul // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:08 PM

nufc-83 and what about calling someone a ‘fag’? Have you apologised for that? Why did you feel the need to say that?

  • 18 cyprus // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:09 PM

    Thanks Jib

  • 19 NUFCPaul // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:11 PM

Pretty pathetic excuse but at least you’ve been big enough to address it. I hope we don’t see a repeat because it was bang out of order. I’ll shut up about it now because we’ve both said what we’ve needed to say on the matter.

  • 20 manxpie // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:12 PM

Nufc83, the last goal we scored like that was Mitro vs Norwich, Sissoko with the assist. It was very similar

  • 23 sparky55 // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:12 PM

    Ron

Yes I get that but he’s proper swapping out pretty much the whole team every 4 days so no-one but the keeper and Gayle have played all the games…it’s the sort of thing you do pre-season not every other game in the proper season.

I have every faith in the guy…just don’t understand what he’s doing that’s all! 🙂

  • 24 toonking // Aug 20, 2016 at 6:14 PM

The palace mid week league cup game is home to blackpool, poordew’s record in that doesn’t seem to get teams knockout in first match with a run like he does have this year could be a different story.

If he wants to stop that run of PL failures to win then he’ll want to win the next game as it’s bournmouth, if he doesn’t win that game he might be without a win until december
