Sissoko Reported Close To Leaving Newcastle

France Football are reporting that Inter-Milan are getting close to signing Newcastle’s French International midfielder Moussa Sissoko and are now ready to bid €35M for the 27 year-old, which is about £31M.

Moussa Sissoko’s reps have been in negotiations with Inter over the last few days for the powerful midfielder who wants to leave Newcastle – and it seems that a deal may be very close.

The report is that terms have finally been agreed between Inter and the player and the next step is to formally bid for the player.

Moussa Sissoko – not happy at Newcastle

Inter-Milan’s first choice was Sporting Lisbon’s Joao Mario who was priced at €45M by the Portuguese club.

That’s about £40M so it makes Moussa’s price look fairly cheap.

France Football are saying that Inter have moved in for Sissoko and may have finally given up on trying to sign Joao Mario for a whopping €45M.

The 44 times capped French International has been pushing for a move from Newcastle this summer, but he would have preferred to remain in the Premier League, but it seems no English club is interested in him at the £35M fee Newcastle are asking.

If the fee Inter are willing to pay is €35M (£31M), we would be surprised if Newcastle don’t accept the deal and allow the player to join Frank de Boer in Italy.

Moussa has been a pain and sometimes an embarrassment to the Newcastle club over the last two years, and he could finally be leaving Tyneside.

We saw yesterday that we already have a ready-made replacement at the club in 29 year-old Mohamed Diame.

Diame is much like Sissoko in his approach and the powerful runs he can put in,  but he has more of an end product than Moussa has.

Yes, he’s probably a better player and certainly more consistent.

Please let it be so. I am losing the will to live just a little more every time I see or hear his name. Be gone charlatan!

Joel Campbell loaned to Sporting and Andy Carroll out for six weeks so there’s two striking options off the table, not that I’d have taken either of them, I’ve just seen them both mentioned on here once or twice.

Repost – Let’s start saving up our pennies to buy a banner to fly over the Stadium of Sh*te at the end of the season. What goes around comes around!

Imagine Sissoko at Yaya Toure’s birthday party when the birthday cake didn’t appear. Tantrums everywhere!

santon – it’s hard to know how desperate he is to leave versus not getting the exact financial package for himself and his snake of an agent uncle (or whatever family member he is). Can he take the chance to dig his heels in for an equal wage or more and risk having Inter walk away? With only two weeks to go in the transfer window and Rafa saying nobody is leaving on the last few days he’d be taking one hell of a gamble to reject their offer.

Interesting to note that Inter finished 8th last season so misery guts won’t be getting that Champions League footy he was craving. Still, don’t let that put you off.

Thauvin’s a great player. We should’ve kept him. Him and Cabella were good technical players. We need more. We need more pace and creativity. A left wing back is a must.

I hope Darlow gets his place back, haven’t seen anything to suggest Sels is the better keeper.

So who out of sissoko, de jong, riviere, tiote, janmaat, krul, saivet, ameobi, vuckic, bigi will leave before the end of the window?

Can hardly say thauvin was a great player from what we seen of him…i was hoping we would keep him to have a look at him, especially since we were struggling for quality…but he obviously doesn’t have the will to fight and try so good luck and goodbye

Moussa was stating that he wanted Champions League, Premier League Club or PSG.
Looks like he’s achieved that then ?
Of course talking yourself up to get the big fat pay check from anyone/someone is a more likely option.
    How does the song go,
