    Does Sissoko dream of Celtic!?!

  • 5 Toon Tang // Aug 23, 2016 at 10:43 PM

Anyone got good linkages to the goals? Its saying ‘cant play media’ on that one of Ed’s.

Jimmy, I never felt comfortable with janmaat at RB. The games I watched he always went missing. Badly. I feel much more confident with Anita at RB and if this American lad is being brought in for long term then I’m well happy with the deal. Manxpie, agree, deffo need more Attacking players but I feel they’re already lined up ready for when sissoko goes. Remember our manager is in charge of transfers now, not a load of faceless idiots who don’t care.

Rafa has said 2 players to come in, hopefully he revises that and brings in at least 4 more plus yedlin

He said it a couple of days ago that we are only after 2 more signings, that was before yedlin news

Couldn’t give motm to Perez. Gayle gifted him a goal after Cheltenham gifted Gayle the chance and he missed to many chances. He took his second goal well but thought there were others who looked better.
Both fullbacks looked very good (I know it’s only against league 2 opposition) but I thought sterry in particular looked very promising.

they haven’t showed it yet tang they’re showing all the big teams first like northampton

  • 14 Fostino // Aug 23, 2016 at 10:56 PM

Just looked at jesus twitter account. Hrs really buying into the club. I’m starting to like this guy a lot. Top pro. Maybe lb is not a prob position if himself is there and we’ve dummett clark and maybe even haifira might come good

  • 15 manxpie // Aug 23, 2016 at 10:58 PM

ah right ourtoon well i bloody hope not then, we need at least a winger, att mid and striker

  • 16 Bobbybee // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:01 PM

Just back in. Sat in the car listening to Carlisle penalties. They lost.
Overall about as comfortable a 2-0 win as you’re likely to see. Colback and Shelvey dominated midfield and Lascelles and Hanley swept up everything that came at them. Perez, despite his goals, only came to life late on. Should’ve had his hat trick, but blew it. Sterry and Jesus did what was expected of them. Diame looked good.
How expensive the win is though is yet to be seen. Aarons was carried off right in front of us and he was devastated. Looks bad. Can anyone update me on the injuries?

  • 17 jimmysmith // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:03 PM

Gamez at left back please, and Mitro back to start with Gayle off his shoulder. Perez starting, switching flanks throughout with Ritchie. Hayden and Diame in tandem central mid.

Starting to look a better side.

  • 18 manxpie // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:04 PM

bobby aarons has been put down it was the kindest thing to do i’m afraid

  • 19 swemag // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:07 PM

Feel really bad for Aarons. Starting to look de Jong all over again.

  • 20 Fostino // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:07 PM

    Jimmy Smith

Yedlin might be the new Rb..Is he better than anita?

P.s sad to see mbabu go out on loan. Maybe it’s best he gets some certain game time. HoOr fully sterry gets more chances this season too

  • 21 The overrated Frenchman // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:09 PM

4/10 transfer window as it stands for me. Too much emphasis on mid to late career just average Championship quality players with no real upside. Might just get us promoted which is the goal I know but it’s setting no foundation for the longer term. Most of this squad will never be good PL players. Maybe the sale of Sissoko will see a bit of quality and potential arrive at the eleventh hour but I’m not holding my breath. Every chance Charnley will ferk up the Sissoko sale anyway and we’re stuck with a valuable but sullen and unmotivated piece of baggage.

  • 22 Bobbybee // Aug 23, 2016 at 11:24 PM

Rafa wants to rely on experience to get promoted and hence the good young players going out on loan. At this stage they need game time and it would be detrimental to keep them if Rafa doesn’t see them getting games. Better off letting them go out and get games than let them stagnate. They’ll come back better off with experience. This is understandable when promotion is all that matters. He’s already said that he doesn’t want to put pressure on young heads. We now have a team capable of promotion and the basics of a PL side. We’ve spent nothing really and will have money to spend to strengthen the team if and when we go up. No need to panic, just trust that he knows what he’s doing, because he does.
