News coming in after Spurs made a derisory offer for Moussa Sissoko yesterday that they are going to increase their bid, but it’s not thought to be anywhere close to the £35M Newcastle want for the French International.
In fact it’s thought it will be somewhere near £20M and if that’s the case Newcastle will turn it down.
Moussa Sissoko – Tottenham have made second bid
One report in the Mirror is that it’s half the £35M we want, so that will be immediately turned down as the club are not desperate to sell and we don’t need the money, having made a profit so far in this summer transfer window.
Moussa is currently on International duty with France for their upcoming games for qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy is doing his usual thing – bidding very low for players he wants as he at the same time asks ridiculously high prices for the Tottenham players.
The shoe seems to be on the other foot with Newcastle and Sissoko.
Apparently Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has traveled very early this morning to Nyon in Switzerland for a coach’s conference, but will remain in close contact with Lee Charnley throughout the day.
Lee is still the guy doing all the deals at Newcastle, which he’s done for a number of years now.

We would be surprised if Moussa Sissoko leaves Newcastle today.
What do you think?
