Newcastle have announced they will reduce ticket prices for the EFL 3rd round tie against Wolves on Tuesday, 20th September in an attempt to get the fans of both clubs to the cup-tie.
In the 2nd round tie we had a home gate of 21,972, which was not bad against Cheltenham Town and we won the game 2-0.
As luck would have it we will play Wolves at St. James’ Park twice in four days since we play them in the Championship the previous Saturday.
It would be good to get two wins.
Here’s what Newcastle have put on their web-site:
Newcastle United have heavily reduced ticket prices for the forthcoming EFL Cup match with Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies host Wolves in a round three tie on Tuesday, 20th September (kick-off 7.45pm BST), just three days after the sides meet in the Sky Bet Championship on Tyneside.
In an effort to make the tie as accessible as possible for fans of both clubs, United have reduced adult tickets to just £10, while concessions are only £3 when bought before matchday.
Supporters are strongly encouraged to purchase in advance, before match day prices rise to £15 for adults and £5 for concessions.
Tickets are now on sale to season ticket holders, before they go on sale to members on Wednesday and full general sale online and by telephone on Thursday.
The Leazes End will once again be opened for cash turnstiles on the night.
Original Platinum Club Bondholders (Milburn areas L2C,L2D,L2E,L2F ) do not need to take any further action and match tickets will be posted as per existing agreements.
Season ticket holders are advised that entry will be via paper tickets and no card uploads will be made for this fixture.
