Sissoko Gets Some Praise – Great Attitude – Training Well

You can never really tell what’s happening at a football club by just reading the papers and what Jonjo Shelvey has said today will probably shock some Newcastle fans.

We had the Sissoko saga all during the summer and by his very comments he managed to get on the nerves of a the majority of Newcastle fans by saying repeatedly he wanted to get away from Newcastle.

Moussa Sissoko – was training well

But Jonjo Shelvey has said today that he has a great attitude and even though there was uncertainty surrounding his future until he left and joined Everton Tottenham  just before the end of the window – he was training well.

This is some of what Jonjo has said today:

“You read things in the paper and on social media, and a lot of rumors go around about new signings but I don’t think you can believe anything until it happens.”

“We knew things would be in the pipeline in August.” “Moussa Sissoko was still here right up the final week, and to be fair to him, he was training really well.”

“He had a great attitude, but you could tell he wanted to leave and he came out and said that. All the best to him.”

“Apart from that though, everyone has been spot on, and we’ve got a really good squad now. We’ve got 24 or 25 top-class players, so it’s going to be a tough one for the manager to leave people out.”

“There’ll be a few unhappy people, but that’s part and parcel of football. You just have to deal with it.”

It’s going to be a good test for Shelvey this season and we will see how he deals with not playing every game – but that’s going to be true for every Newcastle player.

Rafa Benitez will have drummed it into the players that it’s the team performances that count and every player in that squad of 25  players has a job to do for the team this season.

And every one of the players wants to be at Newcastle, which is why it was good that Newcastle finally sold Moussa just before the window closed.

Now we have to take each game as it comes and try to win every one of them.

That starts tomorrow at Derby County and we have 7 games in the next 22 days.

Howay the Lads!!

    Sissoko again !!
Shelvey seems to be a home game player in Rafas eyes and too much of a liability away … can’t argue with that as he tends to give the ball away a lot when pressured

Please stop with the sissoko, he’s not our player, means nothing to us. Get behind the current team. He was never going to be a hero here.

Again with the sneering on the previous posts, is it all you’re capable of.

Jail doesn’t need me to answer
He knows as well as anyone that other than cups there is only the league.
He will then say the club said 10th was the height of the clubs ambitions because they said so , but in reality they didn’t.
They in fact said 10th would suit for that season.
So the argument gos round and round with Jail strutting , puffing his chest out and shitting all over the chess board.

    No Jib,
The way in which you sneeringly said I was distorting facts which you know 100% to be true unless of course you honestly believed we were trying to win the league.

If he had a ‘great attitude’ and was ‘training well’ how come he didn’t play. Old news this bloke, move on good riddance to bad attitude
