Rafa – It Will Be Tough At Derby Because Of This

Derby County under new manager Nigel Pearson have only one win from their first five games and only one goal too, so Rafa Benitez knows they will be a tough team to beat this afternoon.

That’s because they will want to do a lot better following their poor start to the season, especially when they are at home.

We didn’t get off to too good a start either, after losing our first two games but we have won the last three league games.

Nigel Pearson – Derby County manager

Rafa gave his press conference yesterday for the game today and he was right to point out that Derby will be a threat today.

This is what he said:

“This division has been a surprise for everyone.”  “But I still think Derby will be up there at the top of the table, how high? I don’t know but they are a good team.”

“They need to adapt to two or three new players that they have, but hopefully they do that after Saturday.”

“They have good players and a good manager who has experience too.”

“I think it will be tough and difficult but especially as they aren’t doing well and they have to start performing.”

“We need to know it will be like this and that we have to be ready.”  “We have had an international break and we were winning four games in a row.”

“The team has trained well and we can keep the same level.”

Newcastle were showing some good form before the International break, so it would be good if we can come back and get our 5th win in a row today.

Very good.

Certainly the Newcastle fans seem confident of that.

Rooney really showing his ‘class’ in the Man Utd game, pushing Guardiola around and flying into challenges.

    Hopefully City thrash them.

I just hope that Rafa doesn’t return to the negative paying too much respect to the opposition which blighted our first two games of the season, we must now have a bit of confidence so let’s not lose it my submitting as we did against Fulham, try to make our opponents feel like we have for a while against Man City, expect a loss anything else is an added bonus, rather than what most have had against Man Utd, that they could be got at and could be had, we should try to make ourselves viewed as being a game which is to be wrote off so our opponents concentrate on the game after us, we could do that and I hope that we do, how I prey that teams do role over for us due to a low expectancy.
