If Wolves park the bus and scrape a draw I hope we don’t get a flurry of posts slating the clueless Rafa for changing a winning team and league one here we come!

    Total Sport question.
Who got promoted with us last time, automatic and play off. It must have been WBA and Blackpool, we hammered Blackpool 4-0 so I reckon WBA were second.

draw wouldnt be the end of the world

After losing 4-0 they’ll probably be working on tightening up the defence

QPR tried parking the bus and looked what happened.

Wolves want to play like an italian side but they just can’t do it. They want to keep possessionm and spend lots of the game passing backwards but cant keep the ball.

We will press and harry and its only a matter of time until they make a mistake. They will actually help us by trying to keep the ball in their own half because when they lose it (and they will frequently) we will be on for a goalscoring opportunity.

They have a very poor team and their defence has no confidence at all. They are an accident waiting to happen.

If we get an early goal what happened at QPR could seem nothing.

QPR will finish higher than wolves.

We just need to work hard and bully and chase everything that moves and we will go to town on them.

They are a really terrible team with a shocking defence and try to play the italian way. Its so daft its funny.

Wolves fan mate of mine, said they played awful on Tuesday..too many changes and the side looked disjointed. Expects to be hammered on Saturday, hope he’s right.

On Rafa and injuries I once read a great piece (will have to try and dig it out) where Rafa talked about training methods.

He said that he thought a lot of coaches had the ration of Conditioning to Ball work completely wrong. It was 20:80 in favour of physical conditions whereas Rafa works to 80:20 in favour of ball work.

His logic was that players would struggle to get fitter than a certain level and therefore all of the hard work would simply increase their likelihood of injury.

A big part of his ration was to not only maintain fitness and improve ball skill but managing injuries by not overworking players.

Must admit I did worry about Gouffy and Ritchie on Tuesday. Both looked knackered after Derby.

Here is the article. I wasn’t quite right in my explanation but interesting read.

Especially for those that spent last season lambasting the fitness of our players (which was poor and I agree) and then going on at the “kids” for not seeing the value in “making them run until they puke” in training.

My big fear is the complacency thing.

Im thankful Rafa is constantly. trying to keep players feet on the grounds.

Also dont like the “We’re newcastle and were gonna win the league” chant.

Great to see the fans excited, loud and together but dont like the arrogance of it.

It’ll still be a tough season.

Remember the 10 out of 10 in Keegan managerial stint…..

Little Grimsby came up and we lost 1-0 to I think a lad called Dobbie who hit a 20 yarder in at the Gallowgate.

Must watch out for games we think will be ‘easier’. Rafa is right again.

    As was I fella.

I think we only got beaten at home twice that season and if memory serves me right Shrewsbury beat us 1-0

I was gutted we lost the run and everyone thought Grimsby would be the easy game and 11 out of 11 wins would be achieved.

Football is a funny old game

We mustn’t get complacent and Rafa is right.

It was gut wrenching when we walked out the ground after they beat us – I think it was raining or that’s just my memory

It’s not impossible to go a season unbeaten as Arsenal and Forest have proved, we can’t do it obviously but there’s nothing to say we can’t go the rest of the season unbeaten. Teams will be literally bricking it before playing us and everyone of our players is scared to have an off day incase they definitely don’t play the next game.

Spooky ….Just saw you latest post.

You are spot on and the younger fans amongst us will learn the hard way.

Got some hard games coming up, I also noticed the games in April – we have quite a few home games in the run in. Might be helpful.

Here’s hoping we are well ahead by then.

They can try and sit back and defend just gives us more space and time to pick them apart

I reckon it’ll be a win but not high scoring personally

Hate that fcuking thing. Well I used too before rafa came. Still, tempting fate I will not.

Might stick a cheeky £50 on both teams to score and us to win.

    Might do a scorecast too.

Haha. I ain’t bet on us in fcuking years, times are a definitely changin people.

doesnt everyone love it how even after the 6-0 win, rafa still came out and said afterwards theres a lot of work and improvements to be made in all areas still.

See if that happened under mccardew, you just wouldnt hear those words
