How Rafa Will Demand Improvement Before Wednesday

7:40 am, Monday, September 26th, 2016 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 6 Comments

The simple way in which Rafa Benitez improves a team and improves the players during a season is that he considers every game to be a learning exercise.

Every game is approached in a way that we can win it, but after the game Ciaran Clark has given some insights as into what Rafa does.

Benitez wants the team and the players to keep improving – it’s continuous improvement – something in business that is not uncommon as companies try to continuously improve their products and they put procedures in place to do that.

Rafa is in the business of building good football teams and making the players he has into better players.

Here’s what Ciaran Clark – who had an excellent game for us on Saturday at his former club Aston Villa – said after the game:

“He sees things where we can improve, and he lets us know.” “I think over the next few days we’ll be looking at the game and seeing where we went wrong.”

“We’ll get all the information about that and told how he need to put it right and move forward.”

The manager now needs to prepare the team for the game at home on Wednesday night to top of the league Norwich City – a place we would like to be in the near future.

Comments welcome.

On another note – with news of sports direct going further tits up does anyone know how much of MA’s wealth is based on capital value of his company?
Does he have significant liquid assets elsewhere?
Sports direct share value has halved – it could be we / he doesn’t have the cash to buy in January?

Well let’s hope moving forward means putting in a performance for 90+ minutes and not just the first half.

So assuming Yedlin and Colback are fit, here is my Rafa bingo prediction. I think Rafa will stick with Sels as he is trying to improve him.

    Confirmed Rafa Bingo Lineup:

I’m not so confident this week as Yedlin maybe a doubt, but fancy the rest is not far off, Tiote probably on the bench, as he will need a few cameo’s before he gets the chance of a start.

The club operates on the money it generates mate, not on handouts from Ashley.

Aye it does. But if his wealth is going down the money the club generates could be going to his sky rocket not to transfer funds!

Nah, he’s not short of a few bob, and I have no doubt SD will recover once he cleans up his and their image. Not to mention the fat man has his big fat fingers in a lot of other pies.

I’m sure Newcastle will be fine, and if we need to spend in January we have the funds to compete for players, and the draw of Rafa to entice them.

If we keep learning from all these mistakes we’ll have a brilliant team by the end of the season, only we won’t have been promoted.
