Newcastle Fans Still Buzzing After Famous Comeback Win

Here’s some reactions this morning to last night’s sensational 4-3 win against Norwich.

In truth we should have had this game wrapped up by half time, but it was amazingly 1-1 and that gave Norwich the confidence to come back to be 3-1 up after 69 minutes and 3-2 up after 90 minutes.

But two goals in the last 90 seconds of the six minutes of stoppage times gave Newcastle a sensational win that will long be remembered.

Here is Mitrovic lifting Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez off the ground after the famous win.

Aye when you’re walking out early and hear the goals go in as you unlock the car I wonder what happens to that smug feeling of beating the traffic?

Alex Neil whinging to the ref about why he played 6 minutes of added time. I read/heard a ref talk about it a good while back and as far as I remember he said …1 min per goal, 30 seconds per sub etc. was what they generally gave. As there was 5 goals scored and 5 subs + time wasting 6 mins could’ve been on the short side. Anyone else heard anything regarding this?

You’re right about waiting till Ed settled down – he must be as high as a kite – still!

I thought the clip of the bairn was brilliant. He’s obviously in and out of his cot to catch the goals!

It was like the Villa game for part of it, but more chances. We were utterly dominant at the start, had more glaring chances but hit the keeper. Then for a decent chunk of the game we looked a bit lost in finding the right formula in the final third, until Gayle got one back, then it was building again.

Their goals were fortunate being a penalty, world class goal, and deflection. They didn’t great much other than that.

Nut Meg, I ran a men’s Sunday team for years and the ref used to say a minute for a sub. Never heard about time added on for a goal.

What a game last night, diame was pretty poor and so was colback, I’m hoping they don’t start for the Rotherham match. I haven’t a clue why Rafa hardly starts mitro cos he always brings passion to the field. anyways onwards and upwards. howay the lads
