Bond Forming Between Fans And This Player

We have to say we have been very pleasantly surprised the way Dwight Gayle has been playing for Newcastle so far this season and he looks like a natural goalscorer.

With 11 goals in just 12 total appearances for Newcastle so far, we wonder how many goals he could get at the end of the 46 game season in the Championship?

Answer – a lot.

Dwight Gayle in action at Oakwell

Dwight had an initial goal of 20 goals for the season, so he is now 9 goals from that target.

It’s going to be interesting how many he can get before the end of the year – but for £10M he’s been a fabulous signing by Rafa Benitez from Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace.

It’s good that Alan didn’t rate him and allowed him to leave Palace.

After scoring 7 goals in the last four games Dwight has been giving a lot of interviews in the media and a bond seems to be forming between the 25 year-old number 9 and the Geordie fans.

This is what Dwight has said about the fans:

“You sort of have some sort of expectations, but it’s been brilliant.” “The fans are unbelievable.”

“We’ve got 6,000 away from home on a Tuesday night in the Championship, which is unheard of. “It felt like a home game because they’re singing louder than the home fans.”

“If that continues, then confidence will only grow and we’ll just keep getting better.” Gayle has led the line on his own for much of the season.”

“It can be difficult, but, with the way we play, it allows me to wait for the ball and I get to do a lot more on the floor,”

“The lads are sliding it into me more rather than just playing it in the air. “It might have been a little different against Barnsley.”

“But the rest of the season has been fantastic for me to play in front of these players.”

“I go out to score as many as I can, but they’re a good side and we know they’ve been keeping a lot of clean sheets,”

“We’re going to have to look at all the clips and work out where it is we can break them down.”

Next up is Ipswich Town at home on Saturday afternoon.

germany don’t seem to have a problem with motivation

What germany have got is an football assotation who won’t stand in the way of making sure the players perform at their very best and are being brought up. The premier league is 66% and that number is continuously growing, teams like chelsea have bought so manay players that they have a larger number on loan than they can have in a first team squad, the bundesliga itself is 50% foreign and has players such as ozil in the premier league, if you delve into this even more la liga is only 40% foreign and that’s mainly the likes of madrid and barca.

whilst saying the FA should stand up and get more serious they will always have the issue that is they don’t much control of the premier league itself and it will remain that way as long as the PL is able to bring so much money. Recent olyimpics kind of show that even the government is now more interested in putting it’s money towards athlete’s.

I don’t find much wrong with what Pardew says to be frank.

Gee whiz he’s a mercenary money grabber who never went public with his true thoughts – not many of them in footy is there ?

There’s some right hysterical buggers on this blog like.

the performance of gayle this season is a one way above that of our recent strikers even carroll was not as good as gayle was in his championship games, pardew himself must be crying his eyes out having chosen to get rid of him.

in janary a potentially great striker will be returning on loan but gayle himself will make it a little more difficult for armstong to get much time. What i would consider being done in the next transfer windows is we sell murphy and rivere and sell either mitrovic or perez if we are to bring in any other already decent striker and strart introducing armstrong himself to the team.

I wonder be so sure on Armstrong returning, maybe a switch to a club where he’ll start every game. Abrahams has made himself the main man at Bristol, Armstrong needs to do the same.

I wasn’t referring to Pardew’s interview. I was referring to some obscure little post from Gorgonzola, dated August 5th.(yes, that’s August 5th. !)

WW – the only chance Armstrong will have re a return in January is if somebody gets injured. He is clearly not quite ready yet – that must be Rafa’s assessment – despite what some on here say.
Good player -but not for this season.

Aye true tbh even if we get an injury Armstrong still might not come back as we will have options

Hes highly rated but not ready yet. Might get a chance next season or it might be another loan for him

Betis scouts were at the match between Poznan and Krakow looking at Kadar

    http://sevilla.eldesmarque.com/real-betis/86591-tamas-kadar-un-lateral-zurdo-en-la-orbita-del-betis

If we had scouts there it was probably to watch the Krakow midfielder Tomasz Cywka
who has played for Wigan , Derby and Blackpool and is reported to be having a new lease of life after a fairly miserable time in the UK.

Will it be a record if the mackems get to November with less points than a triangle? Accepting they always get off to this sort of flying start – 🙂 – I just wondered if they’ve ever been this bad before? Despite there being eleven days left, that’s not many games in the PL. Has any club gone until November before picking up the equivalent of one single miserable win? Not of course that I’m mocking them – one shouldn’t mock the afflicted naturally – it’s more curiosity than anything else.

Mag 52 v JFA- donald trump v clinton.

mag52 ” ashley is the one bringing all these bad players and appointments and gaining all the money, we have some bad hombres at newcastle “.

JFA ” you’re the puppet” alan pardew is in control of your (mag52) mind”

Mag 52 “no your the puppet”

mag 52I “don’t even know this alan pardew, every thing i see going on at newcastle does not deserve his disrespect your the puppet”

JFA “since his removeal newcastle have done a great job bad managers deserve bad posts”

Mag 52 “everybody deserves to make bad posts about managers who’ve made bad performances of the past”

tuff “how will you react once rafa promotes us?”

Mag 52 ” we shall wait and see what happens for now i will not say a thing”

    JFA “that is atrocious”

JFA ” mag 52 screams angrily about anything he doesn’t like he thought the relegation battle was was pure bad luck, the losing streak was totally bad luck, he even thought the lose of pardew and new appointment was totally bad luck”. It’s appalling to see a pardew fan supporting the toon.

Reading’s league position on the 16th of October, 2005.

    Played 13
    Won 9
    Drawn 3
    Lost 1

    Goals for, 23
    Goals against, 7
    Goal difference, +16

    Points, 30
2nd in the league, 3 pts behind Sheffield United.
We are, just, slightly off the pace to better Reading’s record. Onward and upwards.
    HWTL…

Manx, I must have been in a pessimistic mood coz I only went for a measly 103 points. 🙂 Playing how we are now I can see us breaking the record with points to spare. Looking forward to Saturday now and can see us start to pull ahead. Somebody is going to cop a real hammering from us this season, even more so than the six we put past QPR imo. I’m sure we’re looking forward to the match a sight more optimistically than Ipswich are.

Tynemouth, do you know if anybody else has failed to get more points than a triangle by November? If sunlun are in with a chance of breaking a record, I’m sure they’d want the whole world to know about it. 🙂

rivere not kicked a ball yet he might as well have been kept at newcastle instead of getting murphy, i’d sure he have had the chance of the odd game for the chance to move, saying it as you say it could see him being here until end of his contract.

If he were to be sent back out on loan I just wonder how much longer he will have being sent out on loan to the championship clubs before teams in the lower half of the premier league start making bids. Going out on loan is a good help for him getting game time but if a PL club were to start making interest i can’t see him walking away from a chance to play PL games. I think he’s got 2 more season of loans spells before any serious PL offers come in.

Jail…… I went to buy some flowers the other day for the missus. I asked the girl in the shop if I could have the bunch of roses that were in the window. She said I’m sorry sir this is a circumcision clinic. I replied, well you’ve got flowers in the window. She said , Well what do you suggest we put in the window.

Thought that might cheer you up a bit on this stressful day.
